Interesting.......but......
Interesting info in detail of the Marine training. However, not much was useful to me. If you are really into long range shooting as I am, there is very little about how to make a first round hit. With my Rem 700 LR, first round hit on clay pigeons is no problem. All that I know was learned from books dedicated to long range shooting, forums, and a good mentor. If you want to learn the basics of their weapons, the attitude of a sniper, and how to crawl around in a ghille suit, then this manual makes an interesting read. It is well written and detailed. I got very little out of it. Seeing that I've read it, I wouldn't feel right returning it. With that said, it'll probably sit on the back lower shelf of my library.

This is just a polished up version of old stuff best I can tell.... if you can't shoot you won't shoot better because you read this

Interesting Read
This book definitely has lots off interesting information. I've never been in the military, so from my perspective, the book contains what I would consider "old-school" techniques, but those techniques still do work. My biggest complaint is that the page layout sometimes looks weird, and the amount of typos is astronomical. The typos are definitely annoying, but on some occasions, actually prevents the reader from understanding the content. Some of the images are also pretty useless due to the printing quality. The irony is that the preface referenced that these types of errors were fixed, which could not be more untrue. I would give it five stars if not for the typos and badly printed images.
