It's not a multi-speed trike despite the image showing the gear/sprocket select.
Bought the bike for my wife who has never learned to ride a bike. I tried adult training wheels and decided to just get her a trike. The price and the capability to fold the trike is why I made the purchase. As with any other low cost trike on amazon the instructions are absolutely worthless. The manufacturer must have known this because it says in big letters that the trike should be installed by pros. What I also noticed with the instructions is the font size seems to change from page to page, which I can only speculate was done to get all the text to fit in a certain amount of pages. The trike arrived with minor damage to the basket but the wheels were straight and all the parts were there. First thing I noticed out of the box, and suspected prior to purchasing, is the image showing the multiple speed shifter in the amazon add is incorrect. This IS a single speed trike with a rim type front brake. If it was a multi speed trike the brakes would definitely not be up to the task of slowing this rig at higher speeds. Assembly was easy enough to figure out but my biggest gripe is the cheap chain. First it is a couple of links too long and I am pretty sure if not shortened it will track off from the sprockets. Second it does not have a master link. Good thing I have a chain tool. For the most part the frame construction/welds appear to be of good quality but the front fender and chain guard are so flimsy if you bump them with your leg they distort with easy. We'll see how well it holds up but I anticipate the brake will wear quickly or at a minimum require frequent adjustment. In the end not bad for the price point which is more inexpensive than my BMX bike from back in the 80's. Hopefully the wife will use this trike more than the bread maker appliance.

Assembly difficult, but worth the effort.
The bike is sturdy, great construction. But the assembly instruction are terrible. You might consider having a bike shop assemble for you.

Comfortable seat
Parts came damaged an offer of a partial refund and replacement parts. Never happened. Bike is unsteady with just a little bit of sideways slope you feel like you’re going to tip over.
