Maintenance Keep the glass electrode clean and cover the cover. Place in a cool, ventilated place. Use with care and do not bump or wear the glass electrode. A. Soak the electrode in distilled or purified water for about 10 minutes before using it for the first time. B. Use the standard buffer and the correct operation method for the PH metering time. Incorrect calibration will increase the measurement error! In the uncalibrated state, do not press the [CAL] key, otherwise it will cause the instrument to be incorrectly calibrated, resulting in the instrument not working properly or the measurement error is seriously exceeded! C. The pH buffer powder can be used only after it is completely dissolved in 250 ml of distilled water or purified water. D. Please do not insert the PH meter into the liquid too deep, as long as the liquid can pass through the glass electrode. Pay special attention to whether the PH electrode is loose before use. If the PH electrode is loose, the liquid tested during the use of the pH meter may enter the inside of the instrument and cause malfunction.

Updated Review - 12/28/2019
NEW INFO: I've used this meter several times now and using it today it would not calibrate. I made several attempts to calibrate the meter to no avail. This basically makes the meter useless. I cannot recommend this meter at this time. I'll attempt to reach out to the vendor and get back to this review.OLD INFO: I purchased this to use for various things around the house (the pool and home brewing). The meter seems to be accurate, but requires calibration for each use. This isn't a big issue, but the meter comes with a single set of calibration packets. In order to use it again I needed to purchase the calibration packets. I would expect that once calibrated it would hold the calibration for some time.

No accuracy at all
I needed something that would give me more accurate readings than pH test strips. It came with three different calibration packets. I read all the instructions and it stated that it was calibrated at the factory and that after a long time it would need to be calibrated. That is what the packets were for. I rinsed the sensor with distilled water and dried it per instructions. I then tested the pH of the distilled water to see how close to 7.00 it came. They claim an accuracy of .01. It read the pH of distilled water as 4.28. This thing is worthless. I shouldn't have to calibrate a new meter and with accuracy this poor I doubt that it would calibrate properly or hold its calibration.

Poorly written instructions.
Terrible Instructions. Clearly not written by someone who speaks English. It would be very frustrating if I didn’t already know how to use it. Not sure I trust the measurements yet.

Missing the purple cal. chem on 2 orders
It says 3 chemicals are included for calibration but I ordered 2 units and both only included 2 packages (red and green). I think there is supposed to be a purple colored chemical package as well. I did try both units in my tap water and one reported 7.4 while the other reported 8.2, and they claim to be calibrated at the factory? Who knows how accurate these are especially when calibration materials are missing.

Not Accurate
Using this product for my hydroponics setup. It only came with two packets instead of 3 for the solution. It was accurate at first, but then I’m not sure what happened after that. I recalibrated it and tried comparing it to my other ph test kit and it was way off. Tried recalibration multiple times and the readings were still off. Definitely returning this product.

Product Removal from Platform
I am retired Engineer who has worked 10 hrs. a day for 50 years. I've used every PH indicator product since 1966. I have bought this product a second time to determine if this (rebuilt} product had a better result than the first. Both failed after about 6 months use. The second product had arrived with rust in the battery compartment. The battery had so much rust on it that it would not make contact until cleaned. Every other review listed under this product is about the same, yet, the product has been carried on this platform for years. I shall write to the Consumer Protection Agency and the States Attorney.

Works great for 2 weeks
This is the second meter like this that I have purchased. Both of them broke quickly, and in the same way. After taking a reading and running fresh water afterward, I then shook off the meter to remove excess water, and that's all she wrote! Both times! My second one is now showing 0000 when it starts and that's it.

I cant calibrate it
I could not calibrate this to PH 10 wasted my money on this meter, I need a meter for accurate measurements up to 10.7ph for making Ormus and this is not suitable
