Spend the extra few dollars and buy the BTECH QHM22 Platinum Series ( BTECH QHM22 Platinum Series IP54 Rainproof Shoulder Speaker Mic for BaoFeng, BTECH, Kenwood Radios ) (I now own 3 of them and don't regret them one bit). This cord was way to short, the physical size was to small for my hand, and the over-all quality felt very cheap. In summery save yourself the frustration, skip this model.

This is a great speaker microphone.The sound that comes out of it is clear and crisp and makes listening easy.The important part is the microphone.All of the audio reports I've received using this mic have been excellent.Several folks that I talk to regularly commented that my audio quality was greatly improved. It's built well and works great. The price is right too!!!I highly recommend it if you want a speaker microphone for your radio.

The most accurate review for this mic is that it doesn’t pick up voice well. The sound quality sounds good on the radio alone, but the quality and amplitude is reduced by half with these mics. If you’re planning to get these, speak clear, loud, and an inch away from the unit.

When using the external microphone there have been comments from the receiver on the other side that the voice is faint and that the actual speaker that is on the handheld is more clear and audible. It feels light and kind of cheap.

The mic/speaker works great...the sound is good and the radio checks I have gotten back all have said my signal was clear...I think the key is to speak across the mic and not directly into it

It's not a bad product, but it doesn't seem toBe very durable and the sound quality isn't good, it's not clear at all. However, it's comfortable and will save the ptt button from the radio from damaging.

Quality at a fair price.
