Dremel 8220-DR-RT 12V Max Cordless Lithium-Ion Rotary Tool Kit with 1.5 Ah Battery Pack (Renewed)

I HATE amazons rebuilt, or factory refurbished or renewed or whatever they want to call it. I have not had good luck in the past with anything electronic as the battery is usually at the end of its life and you are really inheriting someone's drama and pain. BUT, I already have one of these and like it so much I wanted another to have one in the house and one in the shop. For this purchase, I have no complaints on the refurbished thing. The battery looks new and works just as well as my "new" one. No issues with the tool, no noise or bad bearing, it appears like new. SO, this time its 5 stars. Your mileage may vary.

Dremel makes a great tool and this little powerhouse is above the rest.

Added a right angle tool and miniature drill chuck to get to difficult to reach part. It worked perfectly

Great tool but missing the charger.

This Dremel along with the lawnmower attachment (I bought mine online from a big home improvement store) "Dremel Rotary Tool Sharpening Kit for Outdoor Lawn Tools" did a fantastic job sharpening my mower blade. It did take a few minutes to get the technique down so it wasn't skipping and jumping and whatnot - but once I got the technique down it went pretty easily. Now my blade is super sharp and the angle is consistent and looks very neat. I was using a belt sander, but this is definitely an improvement over that.Also - the Dremel itself looked 98% new with some very light scuffing on the tool. The case is new, but the charger doesn't fit neatly in the case because the charger (although new) isn't the upgraded version that the case was meant for. It does all fit, so no big deal. It was definitely the type of compromise I was willing to accept in order to get a very nice Dremel at such a good price.Also - the main concern a lot of people have is the battery. Well, you can buy very good aftermarket batteries for this tool right here on Amazon. I bought one, but the battery it came with was more than adequate - so I really could have just saved my money.

Great tool quiet and powerful

Well packaged, from the Dremel factory. Like new, no problems at all. Has a case. Battery is okay and holds a good charge. Better than new at less than 1/2 price.

I'm very unhappy with how loud it is and how much it vibrates. I didn't realize that this was gonna be a refurbished one when I bought it. I thought I was getting a really good deal on a new one. When it came to me and I realized it was refurbished I thought it would be fine. But I wish I had paid more attention. it was my mistake and now I'm owning it. I've had two of these units brand new and they Didn't sound or feel like this one does. So needless to say I'm disappointed.
