I initially bought a cheap hand drill here on amazon that came with a drill bit set for like $8. Theres a few of these on Amazon, its black. The drill bits worked ok except for the smallest 2, and the hand drill was almost good, the chuck worked well but the top part that you press your hand against didn't rotate freely and felt like total garbage making drilling painful and difficult.I got the Army Painter one and played with it for about 30 minutes and this is certainly a top quality had drill. It's really nice. Theres an actual ball bearing in the hand rest and it rotates like a dream under pressure. The 3 drill bits it came with are nice and sharp and the different chucks are really nice. Also I like how it comes with a little wrench to tighten down the bits really well.Overall this tool is a joy to use unlike the other one and I'm really glad I got it. It's not the cheapest but it is probably about the best one on the market and is still a reasonable price considering it should last a lifetime if properly cared for. Well see how well it holds up overtime but it looks like it should last quite well.

Bought for my Warhammer hobby, using to hollow barrels and create secure base connections. Works easily, with no strain on hands or wrist. Comes with 3 sizes of drill bits, decent selection to start with. Very pleased to have this tool in my kit.

I've used cheap pin vises and they work alright, but the Army Painter model drill is a lot nicer- by a country mile. It's made from better materials, is markedly thicker than cheap ones so you have a lot more control without feeling fiddly, has a nice anno finish and a ball bearing top. The one star review that complains about the apature opening must be too dim to realize that it comes with three alternate clamps to accommodate larger bits that you need to swap out. All the clamps and bits store in the body of the tool. It's nice! I'll be buying more accessories from them for sure.

This worked wonders on a 25mm resin miniature and base. The smallest bit was the perfect size for the end of a #1 paper clip.

This pin-vise is more than it looks: it actually has ball bearings for smooth drilling! I feel stupid having gotten the Citadel version before this. The Army Painter pin-vise also has a more precisely cut chuck, and all this goodness comes at a lower price! It is also able to hold very fine drillbits - smaller than the ones that come with the GW version. Put your money where it matters — GW makes great models, but their modeling tools are sub-par when compared to even the “no-brand“ offerings.

Perfect for drilling gun barrels or anything else warhammer. Do not hesitate to buy if interested for gun barrel drilling. Will do the job perfect
