Turned my hiking shoes into slip-ons. Yay.
I will probably never go back to old-style laces. Once you get the hang of how to use these, I don’t think you will either. This is my third set of this type of lace, and while you probably won’t want to use them for dress shoes, they work very well for my walking, hiking, and casual shoes. They are tricky to set up, and while the instructions are reasonably clear, there are two important things to remember. Do not cut off the plastic ends of the laces before lacing up the shoe. If you do, you will have one devil of a time threading them through the spring-loaded piece. Take it from one who learned the hard way. Also, get the length right before you attach the end piece and squeeze it shut. Once shut, you will probably destroy it if you need to get it off.

Awesome Replacement Shoestrings On My Diabetic Shoes
I was getting frustrated with the diabetic boots I finally got approved for because the shoestrings kept breaking. The UGY shoestrings have been the perfect replacement. The boots are well secured now, have the stretch they should, do not show stress points like the old ones did and the pressure based tie downs are both functional and durable.

Works well
My only complaint is that the clasp is pretty bulky. I have similar laces from a few other manufacturers and the clasp is much smaller. The laces are nice and are the proper length - and can be trimmed. All the parts you need are included.

They work well
They weren't quite what I expected, but they work well. It's much easier to install the clips after cutting the laces to length by burning the ends with a lighter.I have back trouble, and these make it a lot easier on me. I don't have to worry about tying my shoes, or about them coming untied. I'd recommend them to anyone. I imagine they're great for young children.

Good stretch and strength; cheap aglets.
I've bought 3 of these over the past few years. They're a great concept, install fairly easily, and feel great. Their design has found the sweet spot of tension that will keep a sneaker or hiker snug without binding. In fact at first, they seemed too loose until I realized I had become accustomed to the old-style laces binding too hard on one part of my foot or the other. They appear to hold up okay, but I've noticed some wear -- they have a scratchy texture so they slip less, but the daily adjustments take their toll on that construction. My only problem has been with the aglets (the plastic end-pieces supplied to cover the ends and keep laces from fraying). They're a little cheaply made, and 2 of them won't stay permanently snapped no matter how I trim the lace or re-snap them. It seems to be a flaw in the plastic catch. One of the aglets fell off and now that shoe looks ratty until I find a replacement. They should improve the quality of this part or at least supply extras.

easy to use
Easy to install and use - just make sure to leave some tail on the ends for adjustments later as they stretch sometimes

Broken after a few days.
I was really excited to get these shoe laces for my son's shoes. The first lace installed easily and perfectly. I couldn't get the second lace to snap in correctly. I only could get the lace snapped in half way. I decided to see if it would work anyway. It fell apart after a few days. Even more unfortunately, the other lace that I installed correctly also broke after two weeks of use. I am very disappointed with this purchase.

Work great!
Was skeptical but I love them. Been using for months and they are still holding up. May never use regular laces again.
