if you are going to be outside in the blaring sun and need to use your hands this brella hat is what you need. has been perfect for me when working in the yard, taking pics and fishing!!

It's a bit flimsy but overall shade protection is good. Not too sturdy around face(tie). Definitely have to hold.it with hands when any breeze comes through

I am an avid walker but I don’t like the heat and try not to walk in inclimate weather. However, this little thing has just taken care of all that. It is light weight, easy to carry with , stays in place, easy to use, and reflects that harsh sun! I’m about to purchase more for every place I walk! If there were any drawbacks, I’d prefer a softer chin strap…but don’t choke yourself with this and you’ll be ok.

Good for rainy days

Bought specifically for gardening. I am on medication that causes me to sunburn easily and I do have a garden hat but it won’t do what this Umbrelly hat will do for me. I will be wearing it out for the first time this weekend. It’s a tad difficult to open or close as the directions are kind of lost in translation and a bit rough, but I was able to open and close. Not sure it will last long due to kind of lightweight materials, but if I can use it for a few seasons I’ll be happy!Edited to add: have worn it now for about 4 hours planting my flowerbeds. I also heard from the seller w extra instructional help (kudos for a reply!). I have found it’s a tad heavier when looking down to plant my garden and that if you are wearing it w/long hair, pull it into higher ponytail and it does stay balanced on your head well.Also - a little girl in the neighborhood stopped to giggle at me, and asked why’d I need an umbrella attached to my head! I may look like a dork; but it’s kept the sun off my arms and head so I can continue working in the garden without sunburn, and that itselfIs a huge help.

I had one of these hats as a kid and wanted to use it for when it rains so I can walk. It does work as advertised but I wish it could be a little more comfortable

Great idea, allows for doing a lot of things hands-free while keeping the sun/rain off. Keep in mind that it has the weight and underside structure of an umbrella, not a hat, and the bars(?) that hold it up end at the headband, so you can feel them moving on your head a bit. It's probably not something that would be comfortable for hours on end, but it's great for an hour or so.

I've always wanted one of these but have only seen the bright blue & yellow ones!!

The chin strap is the only thing that keeps this on your head. It may be better for large men. The head band is not adjustable. So if you have a giant melon, it'll be great but for me, with a 57cm/22-1/2” circ. head, it tips back & forth with every head movement. (How are we supposed to measure the diameter of our heads?) I have to decide whether to return it or try to sew the elastic in the head band tighter. I wish it had an adjustment buckle. I bought it for taking my dogs out on a rainy day but it may not work. If the little plastic pin in the top that holds it open ever breaks, it's garbage. I like my smaller one that is spring-loaded to pop it open with no pull cord.

Too small for my "standard" head, I'll have a headache in 30 min. I'll "DIY" the strap over the head. It doesn't adjust much. The "ajustment" is an elastic of 1 inch.Receive today. Seems good. Correct quality for the price. (2 for 30 bucks CAN). But I will definitively not let it in the hand of my boy.Easy to open and close. Didn't tried outdoor, have expectation to protect me from sun and heat in the backyard.Happy of my choice, but I'll have to take care of it.
