Simple Story of the 3 Pigs and the Scientific Wolf

I was looking for a story book about simple machines and this fit the bill, however it is NOT full of cute, colorful illustrations. The art is all black and white and not what I expected (it didn't have a "see inside" available when I ordered the book. I did like the story and the teaching guide that came with it. We will not be using this book in our program however, we went with HOW TO LIFT A LION instead.

This story is hilarious and has lots of scientific terms and ideas to discuss. I got it for my daughters who are in 1st and 3rd grade and it was right on point I think even older classes could use this for great topics and discussion. However, I expected more illustrations of the concepts and the book looked like it was typed on a typewriter.

Wonderful tool for teachers to use in the classroom as they teach about simple machines! Students will have a blast learning about simple machines by using this resource!

This book is so funny! A new twist on an old tale. A new big bad wolf is trying his hand at getting the female piggies. His unique use of simple machines makes this a fun science tale.

I had this book before but I had misplaced it. I like being able to use it a resource when my class talks about simple machines. The children enjoy the story and it invokes conversation. I bought a new copy for myself as well as two more for my fellow teachers for a christmas present. I hope their class enjoys it as much as mine has!
