One suggestion, on might need to press in the plug hard and firm but slow, the very first time using. Then ensure each time afterwards that it is in firm, in order to hear the sound best and better. It is not loose, but I noticed it was not as smooth a plug in as more common Apple products or even chargers, at least with the experience I had with this item. At first I almost returned it, but I thought to push it in firmer and sure enough, the sound of my music is perfect. The charger also works well.

Tried with a variety of wired earbuds, some budget and some high end. Couldn't get any of them to work without hissing and static noises. Waste of $10.

I like how simplistic this is but whenever I plugged my ear phones in all I heard was a static and annoying sound instead of my music. My headphones were inserted all the way. Maybe I received a defective one.

There is always some sore of electrical noise in the signal. I thought it was just when I was charging, but turns out it happens all the time.
