Lightweight, resilient, and pretty in pink
I live in a climate known for its subtropical rainstorms and wind and am pleased to say that this umbrella is exactly what I needed. I keep it in my purse 80% of the time (any time there's the most remote possibility of rain) and it's so light I don't even notice it's there - until the rain starts and voila - shelter from the storm! I love that to put it down you press the same button you use to open it... no reaching up under the wet umbrella, it just automatically closes. When the wind hits it and flips it inside out it easily snaps back without breaking stride and none the worse for wear. Very happy with this and the golf umbrella I bought from the same maker for days when it's raining sideways.

Fun umbrella
This umbrella is pretty nice. I have very little with umbrellas, as I rarely use one. I purchased this to live in my car for the times my girlfriend is with me and needs an umbrella. From the folded position, with the push of a button, the umbrella deploys. I use the term "deploy" because, when you push the button, it shoots to the fully extended position and opens up with more force than I was expecting from an umbrella.I tried this out as I was exiting my car, and it works great! You just crack your door open, and stick the umbrella out and push the button then you're done, nice and dry. It is nice and compact and fits in my backpack's water bottle pocket. When fully open, the umbrella is big enough to keep me dry. I have yet to try this in windy conditions, especially in 60MPH winds as advertised haha. When fully deployed, you can push the button again, and the canopy will close, then you just push down and close the umbrella which is pretty neat, IMO.One downside, and I don't know if any do but I wish it did, is it does not fully close when you press the button. As described above, the canopy closes, but you still need to push it down to get it back into it's compact closed position. Another downside is, if you forget that it closes on it's own with the button (as I have done many times while playing around with the umbrella) and manually close it, it will not fully close or deploy and you will see some of the string (or whatever it is they use) coming from the main post. This is easily remedied, but still annoying. The umbrella's canopy is made of two parts, and one concern I had before actually using it was water coming in through the slit. So far, this has not been an issue.

Fine Job-Why not Quickdry?
May 2018 update- After 3 years with this reliable umbrella I bought a second. I also bought a Teflon coated umbrella that dries far more quickly than the Procella. Unless there is a good reason not too why not coat with Teflon too. , I would say the Procella is a perfect design except it dries slowly. I am using the Teflon coated umbrella more and the Procella is now a backup. This umbrella is strong and has not blown out in my experience. I keep a number of good quality umbrellas for my family. By that I mean in the $22-40 range. Mostly 8in-11in travel. The Procella is terrific but the case sent along with it was just too tight. Now many throw these cases away but on many a quality umbrella you can find a waterproof case so that you can stow your umbrella until given a chance to dry out. Since the Procella case did not fit well I switched the case around with a Lifetek and that fits fine.Again, the umbrella works as advertised and I would not hesitate buying another if they were available. From reading the reviews, this looked like a proto-type or a "beta" version. Not a full production run.Fix the case and make and and advertise the heck out of em. This umbrella could be a winner.Make an 8in length like the Totes micros and you'll really have a seller.

🌟 Highly Recommend 🌟 if you are in the market for an umbrella. You won't find a better one out there!!
I am such a massive fan of this travel umbrella! ❤️❤️❤️ In fact, I have already bought two of these magical contraptions. Here's why I am so enchanted with it...I love how compact it is, but also really durable to provide excellent protection from the rain and snow. I keep one in my car at all times to be prepared for the unexpected downpours. I live in the dessert, and one minute it may be perfectly hot and sunny, and the next minute it may be pouring down so hard trees are falling down. 😨I also keep one in my purse when I am traveling abroad. In fact, this little wonder came with me on a recent trip around the world to China and Europe. It was a life, and so portable to carry around with me.And the button is so fun to push to open it! I feel like a little kid, because sometimes I just keep opening and closing the umbrella just to push the button. Haha!

Perfect umbrella!
If you're looking for a light-weight, high-quality and very functional umbrella, this is it. Look carefully - you'll find many umbrellas that are "automatic" open, but not many like this Procella that automatically opens and closes with the touch of a button. It's compact enough that it fits perfectly in my laptop bag or my normal-size purse and without adding a lot of weight. It's wide enough when opened that you get great coverage in the rain. It's a very sturdy umbrella too - holds up well with a lot of use. It's a great umbrella for the price.

I received an email from the manufacturer asking me how much I loved my new umbrella
Despite all of the marketing hype, this umbrella is flimsy! I think a blow dryer would turn this thing inside out. Literally EVERY time I used this umbrella it folded inside out in average wind. To add insult to injury, I received an email from the manufacturer asking me how much I loved my new umbrella. I responded that I was unsatisfied with the performance and explained why. I never received a follow up email. 1 star applies to product AND customer service.

Good but not perfect
Pros:Looks goodOpens easilyBetter than most for wind protection (but not perfect see below)Very long manufacturers warrantyCons:Difficult to close (need to push from the top when it gets to the bottom)Wind protection is good for light wind but when the wind picks up the umbrella everts.Overall: Better than most portable umbrella's, I did expect slightly better wind protection though. I would still recommend this umbrella to others.

Worth the extra
Not used in heavy rain, but excellent for what I bought it for, which was to keep in the car for the inevitable showers. Compact and opens and shuts with precision. The vented canopy should prevent most gusts turning it inside out. But not tested to date.Pleased I purchased it after multiple cheaper versions, which seems to last a few uses before failing, or showing wear.

Excellent travel umbrella
I'm very pleased with the Procella Travel Umbrella. It seems nicely made and works well, too.The opening and closing action is positive and smooth.I'd prefer the option of a slightly longer handle and tad larger canopy size, but thats not a criticism of the product, purely a personal preference.

So far so good
As an amateur landscape photographer I needed something to help keep spray, rain and sun off myself and my gear. I've yet to use it fully but it is light enough and small enough to carry around and seems fairly sturdy.

Great product and great quality.
The umbrella is fantastic. It covers both me and my baby and we can enjoy now walking in the rain. The material is strong and the open&shut mechanism is perfect. I can open and close the umbrella using only one hand. Great product and great quality.
