I used this to replace my old adaptor because I wanted HDR at 60fps capability. The item plugs-in and works as described without hassle and is priced much lower than other adaptors with similar capabilities, however, be careful if you did not read the full title like me (or do the correct research into HDR capability with macs) and purchase this for a 2017 iMac model.I did get 4K - 60HZ - HDR to work with the windows bootcamp partition with some heavy technical fidgeting (and a lot of frustration), however on the mac side it will only do 4K - 30Hz - HDR due to the OS limiting you severely in display options and graphics card options.When on the mac side I had to use a separate program to set my display options correctly because it kept reading the EDID from my display incorrectly and setting my resolution to some preposterous settings (which will be displayed differently via display options and the system report). I do not believe this is the adaptor's fault at all, but rather a throwback to the DRM laws concerning the use of hardware and displaying 4K HDR content and Macs OS, Catalina.

I have a Huawei Matepad Pro to use for coaching a sport and it has a USB C port. With the USB C and HDMI connection I am able to connect to a TV or projector to help teach my students about the aspects of the sport. Really great graphic quality and easy to setup. I give it 10/10 for being such a awesome and useful product in my daily life.

Purchased for church use, however, the other components we have would not allow us to use this. No fault of the product.

so this is not compatible with a mac air. I wanted to be able to plug it into my laptop to watch live tv. The USB is not big like a flash drive like I assumed it would be.

I have used it this a few times and tit works as it should.

I ordered this while visiting relatives over the holidays after realizing my current adapter didn’t support HDR. I just received it and it doesn’t work on my MacBook Pro 16 or my iPad Pro (there is no signal sent to the tv). My previous (non HDR) adapter works on both using the same tv, so it’s definitely a problem with this adapter. The USB C plug and HDMI socket both fit very tight (much tighter than I’m comfortable with, but maybe they will loosen over time). I’ve requested a replacement from Amazon and will update the review after it arrives, but I’m not very confident so far.

Second attempt to find a 60hz UHD 4K display 'adapter' for my HP laptop and it works perfectly! Took a while to find.The built-in display is 60hz (Intel UHD 620), but output to a big screen via the built-in HDMI output runs only at 30hz?So, this adapter fixed the situation, via USB-C, you can achieve a 60hz output. I am using an LG UHD 4K 27UL650 external display.Good result - highly recommended. Most other adapters are 30Hz and many do not state support for HDCP. I am able to use Netflix via the Ms App without any issues.

I looked for ages for a reasonable price extender for my laptop. I think this works better than advertised. As it allows me to have three screens including my lap top at once. The other one i ordered from another listing only mirrored and didnt extend . This one did both.

Ich nutze einen Intel NUC8i5BEH und habe zuerst verzweifelt versucht einen USB-C Adapter zu finden, mit dem überhaupt erstmal das Bild übertragen wird. In der Kombination " AmazonBasics - Adapter, USB 3.1 Typ C zu DisplayPort, Weiß" + "AmazonBasics Verbindungskabel, DisplayPort auf HDMI, 3.4 m" gab es kein Bild. Darauf dann "USB C auf HDMI Kabel (4K@60Hz), uni Tpy C auf HDMI Kabel" bestellt und ich hatte endlich ein Bild, leider ohne HDR. Mit diesem Adapter habe ich sowohl bild, als auch HDR lässt sich in Windows aktivieren!

Articolo arrivato USATO (evidenti segni e graffi). L'ho comunque provato sul mio MacBook Pro 15" 2018 (con Radeon Pro 560X) e funziona solo fino a 4K30p, e ovviamente niente HDR.Qualsiasi frequenza maggiore non funzionerà (il TV non riceve segnali, nel mio caso un LG OLED). Provato su diverse porte e con cavi HDMI certificati 2.0Si comporta esattamente come il dongle HDMI 1.4 già in mio possesso

Prodotto ben fatto, per qualità e finitura in metallo. Testato con svariati modelli di TV (lavoro in un negozio di elettronica). Sui modelli non UHD passa solo video senza audio. Su modelli UHD non funziona. Provato su tutti i principali marchi (lcd e Oled) collegando iPad Pro 2018, trasmettendo un film 4K HDR da Apple TV app. A parte sui Panasonic, sui quali funziona su tutti i modelli, con le altre marche risulta incompatibile. Nessun altro televisore mostra né immagine né rileva la porta HDMI come attiva. Reso immediato.
