New 8-cell Battery for IBM Thinkpad X60 X60s X61 X62

Is can't be connected to X60s, size of battery slot in x60s is smaller than battery connecting area.So I can't do anything without return.Don't spend your time to get it, fail to connect and return it.

I bought this battery in January 2010 it failed in October 2010. Seller won't take it back due to their 6 month policy. Too bad for me. Lenovo batteries have 1 year warranty. Seller wrote that batteries need deep discharging and recharging, so it was possibly my fault. I informed them I was an electrical engineer and knew how to do this. My original Lenovo battery is still working after three and a half years. I told them to test their inventory since this may not be an isolated case. They now do not answer emails. I accept it is a six month warranty, but I warn anyone who buys here you may be buying poor quality.

I recently purchased this for my X61. I'm living abroad and working in the Middle East and had to wait awhile for someone to bring it out. Not real happy when I realized it didn't fit!

This battery did not work for me. I no longer have the packaging so can't return it. I kept getting an annoying pop-up message that this was not a genuine IBM battery. Even fully charged, the laptop kept shutting down on me saying it was not at full power. Now, after only a few weeks, the battery will not charge at all.

While this battery certainly works, the Lenovo laptop is programmed to complain that it isn't original OEM quality. Using the Lenovo battery utility the battery reports it is made by Sony, one of the two manufacturers of Lenovo batteries for this machine. However the seller states the battery is made by MayDay which seems to suggest it is an unauthorized copy of the OEM product. It remains to be seen if it performs properly or if it damages my machine.

The battery on its own works fine. However, the laptop shuts down spontaneously, usually when it still states 25% capacity and sometimes even when you have 80%+ indication. It literally just shuts down, does not even go into hibernation, so all work is lost if you didn't save it. Also, th shape is slightly different than the original IBM battery, so it does not fit anymore into the docking station.
