PROS:The unit itself arrived on time in good shape with excellent packaging. Its clean, if it wasn’t sold to me as a refurb I wouldn’t know it was a refurb. The fan is quiet, I only hear it late at night (midnight) when there is no car traffic outside and the TV is off.I can compile programs in Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 in the background, have 5 tabs upon on Google Chrome browser and play Pandora radio all at the same time with no lag. Memory usage with all that going on is 6.7GB.The people at TekRefurbs, are some of the nicest people out there and will genuinely work with you to resolve issues. I had a problem and they did fix it, within two days!CONS:1) Originally, I did not get what the shopping cart description says.I received a DVD-R drive not a DVD-RW drive. Since flash drives are so cheap these days, I just back up my PC to them, I can't remember the last time I actually burned DVD. And unlike a DVD, I cant really scratch a flash drive.I called TekRefurbs just to let them know, and they promised to send me the correct drive, even though I will probably never use it for burning any data. The new DVD-RW drive arrived today! Two day shipping via FedEx. Impressive! Especially considering I wasn't really unhappy. So this "con" was fixed.2) Some of the serial ports are so close together that one device I have plugged in is fat and blocks one of the other ports. But that's a DELL design issue. Luckily, there looks to be about 10 ports so no biggie, enough for my printer, two flash drives, wireless keyboard and wireless mouse.3) The provided mouse is the worst I've ever attempted to use. If you buy this PC and don't already have a mouse from an old PC then do yourself a favor and include new wireless mouse in your order. The provided mouse includes random click sometimes and doesn't want to select text properly.When it comes to refurbs, I think you really have to pay attention to the vendor you are buying from. I always look at the vendors Amazon storefront. If they have a 10% negative rating at any time in the past year, I pass on that vendor! And I only buy from Microsoft Authorized refurbishers. I"ve never gotten a lemon following those two rules.Overall, for the price I paid, I really cant do better. Customer service shined again since TekRefurbs also provided guidance on a video card upgrade that would fit (SFF) and not require a new power supply. "Gigabyte GeForce GT 1030 GV-N1030D5-2GL Low Profile 2G Computer Graphics Card". But now after running the Windows 10 "Display Color Calibration" tool and running Windows Cleartype tool, I don't need a video card. The text is much sharper and I'm not a gamer.

I absolutely love this computer. I'm not the most techy of people but this computer does well running photo editing programs or music workstations. For the average person and their needs on a computer, this far outweighs the specs that they would ever need. Setup was easy, windows was loaded, and the computer runs exactly as I'd expect it to. I hope and very well expect that this computer will treat me well for many more years. One of the best values I've come across in years.

I just received this Dell Optiplex 7010 yesterday (bought as a gift), but I am more than pleased. This is the fastest computer (best specs too) that I've ever owned (I'm a laptop user primarily) and for around $210 I don't think you'll find a better value. It has a 480GB SSD (solid state), so the 'spin rate' in the specs shown for the hard drive is actually for the DVD since SSD drives don't spin! This SSD drive is SO FAST compared to older spinning HDD drives. One minor hitch, I saw the USB dongle when I unpackaged, but wasn't sure what it was, so didn't install it in a USB port. Turns out it's the wi-fi USB adapter and if you don't put it into the computer, you won't be able to reach the internet (without an ethernet cable) and without internet connection you won't be able to get through "set up". Once I put the USB wireless adapter into the USB slot (it has 10 USB's including four in the front!), set up took only a couple of minutes and the set-up instructions were not necessary at least in the version/installation that I received. I installed malewarebytes and ran a full scan... no issues... also updated and scanned with Windows defender... no issues. This desktop is a very small form factor, quiet and sits either vertically or horizontally. I am using a VGA cabled older monitor (it has a VGA port) and that works fine but it also has two 2 Display ports and I've ordered a display port enabled monitor and I'll edit this review if there are any issues. I also haven't tried the DVD writer yet, but everything else I have tried works great, task manager shows no memory or CPU issues when running tasks, etc. The computer case has a few "imperfections" but nothing that should bother anyone on a refurbished computer. I love this computer and would buy it again in a heartbeat!

I had this machine for a total of about 10 days before it randomly shut off on me one night. It wouldnt turn back on after that. The light by the power switch would just keep blinking again and again.After some research online..I come to find that this is a common problem for this type of computer. I wish I had researched that from the start. The great price offered by Amazon blinded me from the get go, however. That mistake is on me.It wouldnt be fair though to not mention that the tech support was amazing. They helped me return the product and get refunded in a timely fashion. Also the product arrived well packaged and cared for. Everything was great except for the longevity of the product itself.To its credit, the computer functioned fantastically when it did work. I really enjoyed using it. It saddens me that it malfunctioned, that I had to return it, and that im here now giving it a 1 star review.I take no pleasure in any of this. I would have loved if it had continued to work great. Id be leaving a 5 star review right now if it had.
