You need to get a device to negotiate a connection with and drive this. Do not connect directly to this. If you do connection directly, it will result in a 48k audio stream instead of a 192k audio stream. That's what kind of negotiation this device will demand.I'm currently using a DAC with HDMI passthrough to feed this device, but sadly it's only HDMI 1.3 and only accepts stereo - . -. Some receivers will just show what's on the other end of them, others will take a connection, and others yet will mix down your stream to like 16 bit/44.1k. Be careful when finding a device to feed into this splitter.An HDMI Switch is not going to work fyi. It's just straight up passthrough, so it doesn't negotiate anything. You negotiate with the device on the other end. This device will negotiate if nothing's been set because it has multiple endpoints, and it demands some bad stuff.Anyways, just a warning ^_-.

This device is an excellent four-way port unit! Worked correctly straight out of the box merely follow the simple directions. If an old retired person like me can do it anyone can. We (our Club) wanted to use the hosting facility's three HDMI capable LED TV's for our weekly meetings. This device is the main KEY in that function. It along with cables, USB to HDMI unit, and power strip permit a show with sound by a presenter to connect their laptop or Apple device for the Club. We have used it for several meetings now and it works GREAT! We will recommend it to anyone or group. With the extra port we may at a future date add a fourth TV and we expect to have more members in attendance with the additional room. Very glad that J-Tech exist and that David there helped with our initial inquiry and subsequent purchase.

I use a J-Tech HDMI Switcher to feed this 4-Port splitter and then HDMI monitors in the foyer and auditorium. People can't believe the pictures from 60 inch to 15 feet in size. Down conversion to NTSC is equally impressive.

Works perfectly. Can drive a 50' hdmi cable which is about 50% longer than they promise in their specs (30m).

Some sound lag - but overall an okay device. A bit pricey compared to others offered on Amazon with similar capabilities.

I'm using this to send my ip camera system to all my TV's in the house. So far it's doing the job with a 30', 40', and two 50' runs of hdmi cable.

Item working fine when I started using it but after a month when you display from dvd player and switch back to computer, the projector will not see the computer display until you close the program and open again. It does not serve the purpose of my spending!
