Pretty robust/chunky heavy metal here folks. It will definitely handle some current, and should last quite a good long while. There's not much to go wrong. The coating on the metal appears good quality, not chintzy at all. Large bolts/studs, you're medium eye connectors might not be big enough, but always good to be overkill on gage, right!? So many ways to use this, but as a general rule, try to place as close to your battery source as possible--this just helps to ensure you have no other bleeds/consumers of your battery, and that you get them all, 100% of the time. If you relocate the switch further away, you can be successful, but trust me, there'll come a day when it's just too convenient to wire a new thing directly to the battery and bypass the switch--so just save yourself that future dilemma and make this switch the FIRST and ONLY connected device to your battery. Use a low gage jumper from the positive post to the switch, something like 8 or 10 gage for regular accessories, or maybe even lower if you're going to run a Trolling motor. Either way you wire this, you can count on it. Not much more you can ask of a cutoff, good connectivity for low and high amperage uses. Easy to use, easy on the wallet, easy to install. Great Value for it's functionality.

Bought two to use in a Ford truck with a parasitic drain. Use them religiously (if we don't it won't start in the morning!). They work very well, just do NOT put them where they can get too hot (in the engine compartment) as these are TEMPERATURE controlled - IE if the line gets hot the breaker kicks it off!!!!!!

I bought this shutoff for my boat and it works great as a main shutoff for all of the electronics. The click moving it to on and off feels very sturdy, and it came at a competitive price. One thing to note are the terminal screws are very large so expect to get some bigger connectors, but that's to be expected with how much power can be drawn through it. Also the switch only turns 90 degrees, not a problem, but at a glance that's not obvious.

I’ve been using the cut off switch in my metal building for a solar backup system. I only use the switch when I need to do maintenance, but I haven’t had any issues with it. The materials it’s made out of appear to be quite durable and high-quality. Red color makes it easier to see in case of emergency

Simple install , all hardware included

Not only allows for the primary and secondary battery to be ganged together in parallel during the use of a large inverter with the engine running, it also allows the secondary battery to start the vehicle with the primary battery disconnected.
