Great DVD for Kids!!!
I gave this one a 5 star review because me 1 1/2 year old son loves it and this is his first real introduction to Seasame Street minus some songs he had on his IPod. It has a lot of the videos I remember from a child, including the Batty Bat song, C is For Cookie, and the Monster in the Mirror. It is missing some of my other favorites, and I was disappointed that they did a arrangement of Rubbie Duckie songs rather than showing the entire videos. Those are some of the best songs....yes, they focus on Rubber Duckies, but they are so good!!! So 5 Star rating by my son, but I hope they make a new one of these and play out all the Rubber Duckie videos as well as some of the other favs like 'But I Like You' and 'New Way to Walk.'

THE BEST!!
I purchased this DVD for our son's 1st birthday, he adores it! Not only that, my husband, sister and I enjoy it too! A lot of the skits, we remember from when we were kids, it's great!! I am not a big fan of the new children's shows out today, maybe because I am too "old school", so I wanted my son to see and appreciate something from my era. The newer Sesame Street shows are good too, but I remembered how much I enjoyed it as a kid growing up and wanted to share that. The dvd is very multi-cultural, humorous and entertaining. He's even started singing the "la la la la" part and Oscar the Grouches "I Love Trash" songs, in his own way!! I plan to buy this for a few more kids for Christmas!

a hit with our family!
My 18 month old daughter LOVES this DVD! She first watched it when she was 10 months old and loved it then too. Now we own it and she asks to watch it all the time.If your kid has a specific affinity for the new characters (Zoe, Elmo, Rosita, etc) they might be disappointed. Elmo has a very small role in the show. Zoe and Rosita's parts are completely insignificant. (Basically you can see them in the back ground.)But it does have all the classics "C is for Cookie", "I love trash", "rubber duckie" etc. Bert, Ernie, Oscar, Big Bird, Cookie, the Count, Telly, Prairie Dawn, The Amazing Mumfort, and others in this one. A very 80's En Vogue sings a song on it.

Never mind the kids, I LOVE IT!
As a grandmother, I'm getting a second round of Sesame Street (which I always loved when my own kids were small). This particular DVD is adorable. It has all the classic songs I (amazingly) still remember the words to: Rubber Ducky, Sing, I love trash, C is for cookie, Sing, and many more. They are woven together in a loose plot of looking for performers for a show Big Bird wants to put on, but it is basically a collection of songs and lively dance performances which keep the little ones riveted. It is longer than most DVD's which last about a half-hour. This one is a full hour, so you probably won't watch the whole thing in one sitting. It has all the classic characters and a couple that weren't there when I stopped watching, but are equally charming. It's fast-paced, upbeat, funny, colorful, & entertaining. If you are starting a collection of videos, The Sesame Street 25th Birthday Musical Celebration is, without doubt, the one to get first.

Any age will do.
I actually purchased this for my Grandson - he is in High School now - because of one of the songs he wanted to use for an audition to a top choir at school. He was watching it in my room with me and enjoying many songs he remembered from years ago. My Son, in his 40's now, heard the music and came in to see what we were watching. HE remembered many of the songs too! No matter your age, if you grew up in the USA and had a television, you know these lyrics. I have yet to see anyone that can't sing-along and tap their toes. Pure enjoyment and a piece of our collective memory. Now THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!

Exactly what I was looking for. My son watched this over and over 15 years ago so I bought it for my grandson. He loves it.

UK buyer's. Don't bother.
US imports don't work on UK dad's. This isn't made clear when purchasing. Paying postage to return it to get your money back is not really an option. Very disappointed 😞

LOVE IT!
I didn't know what to expect when ordering this DVD. I wanted my son to get to know the old sesame street characters that i always loved and thought it would be fun with music as a background. This is a wonderful dvd with a little story built around old music clips from throughout the years. I am embarassed to say that the finale with everyone singing "sing" (the la la song) brings me to tears everytime :) Oh and my son LOVES IT too! lol
