KIM+ONO Women's Kimono Long Robe - Peacock & Blossoms

This kimono is gorgeous! I got the peacock color and am in love. Best part was delivery estimated 5 days to be delivered; I got it in 2!! Made my weekend. Great buy. I'm 5'3, 106lbs. Other reviews say it looks expensive. I completely agree. It looks like I spent way more than $24 for it.

I'd been looking for a full length lightweight robe and this kimono fits the bill perfectly. Most robes are bulky and thick and too warm for me. I just wanted something light to throw on while I'm getting dressed and I don't know why it didn't occur to me to consider a kimono sooner.Fit: I'm 5'4 and I feel the length is perfect. With other robes I'm always constantly tripping over the seam, I don't have that problem with this kimono.Construction: I love that the side pockets are on the seam, not stitched on the front like you would find on regular robes. It also includes additional strings inside to tie together to help keep the kimono shut in case your belt becomes loose. For a kimono, the sleeves are rather narrow, but they are more functional that way.Style: I chose the charcoal gray color and love it. It's feminine with out being overly girly or masculine. Also, I'm not embarrassed to wear this kimono as I step outside on my porch in the morning to grab the newspaper.Side note: my kimono arrived later than originally communicated when I ordered. The company did a great job of proactively reaching out to me to let me know there would be a delay and to set expectations as to when my kimono would arrive. I felt the customer service and communication was above average which makes me appreciate this company even more.

Absolutely lovely, and very becoming. I have ordered the Peacock color and I am very pleased with the product. Of course I can tell it is not real silk, nevertheless the price seems beyond fair and the quality is better than I expected. Be mindful of little hooks in your nails because the fabric does tend to snag easily. I am 5'8 and a half, the robe reaches to about half way down my calves and fits and flows beautifully. Pleasantly surprised! I would recommend this item to anyone.

EDIT AGAIN, 16 May 2017:After contacting Old Shanghai directly, it seems when I clicked "Buy it Again", then went to change the color, I was inexplicably shifted to another seller called Tigoof Online, and I inadvertantly ordered from them instead of Old Shanghai. For the better quality robe DO NOT ORDER FROM ANYONE EXCEPT 'OLD SHANGHAI'!After they realized what had happened, Old Shanghai sent a replacement robe free of charge, which is very lovely and to the standard I originally expected. I'm attaching photos to show the difference in the products. First is a side-by-side with Old Shanghai hanging on the right (and you can see even the colors are more subtle), 2-4 show some finishing details of the Old Shanghai robe, 5-7 show corresponding details of the Tigoof Online version. I changed my rating back to 5 stars because of the excellent customer service of Old Shanghai.Edit 28 March 2017:I ordered another in black as a gift, and I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED. It is 4 inches shorter, the sleeves are a few inches shorter, and it has no interior ties - so how are you supposed to keep it closed while wearing it? It's marked as an XXXL, and does not have the Old Shanghai label, when ALL the others I've purchased are "one size fits most" and do have their label. Did they run out and go around the corner and buy an XXXL child's robe??? Changing my 5 star rating to a 1 star because of this.I needed it before a planned trip, and of course I can return it, but before replacing it I want to be certain I'm getting the correct robe, and Amazon has been NO help so far.Edit: February 2017:This robe has held up very well, and I continue to be impressed. I've ordered others as gifts and they have always been a hit. My 83 year old mother is the type of person who has always cared about her appearance and always dresses well. I purchased two for her, a long and a short version in different colors, for a recent hospital stay, and she loves them both. Both of my sisters have these now, and also love them.In my original review I mentioned ironing out the packing creases when it was new, and hoping I'd never need to iron it again. Sure enough, nearly two years later that is still the only time I've ironed it. Once those creases were dealt with, its been machine washed and dried (on cold water and gentle cycle) many times, and I've pulled it out of the dryer and it looks great. Easy care, in addition to being beautiful.I wear this every day during spring and summer, and yet for now I see no reason to replace it as it still looks great - in a year or two maybe it will be worn enough. A bargain for sure. :-)June 17, 2015:I LOVE this robe! I was looking for a very light summer robe, and this is just so perfect. I have a son and a stepson who are both grown men and are around all the time. I like to shower and change for bed early in the evening and then relax for the rest of the evening with family. Winter robes are easy but I needed a robe with complete coverage that wouldn't be uncomfortable in summer. This is it.This robe is so pretty; the colors are beautiful. I ordered the pink and it's a very soft, flattering color. This robe is so light I'd describe it as "gossamer", but the fabric isn't sheer - it provides total coverage. It looks like silk, but is EASY CARE!When I received it I washed it in cold water and dried it on low. It still had marks from being folded during shipping so I turned in inside out and ironed it on a medium setting to remove those few creases. Since it held those creases so well, now that I've ironed them out I don't expect to ever need to iron it again.For length, I am 5'6" and it comes to the top of my feet - almost to the floor. I am of normal weight for my height and it fits generously, folds and flows perfectly.I'll be ordering more of these, they're available in so many pretty colors and they are just so beautiful!These would be great gifts, too.

This robe is PERFECT!! It's light weight and comfortable and the perfect length! Idk why people can't explain the length. It was the one thing I was most nervous about. Ok, I'm 5'7", 150, and pregnant. I decided to get a large because I didn't want it to be too short and I wanted (needed) the extra fabric lol. The robe hits me right at my ankles and wraps all the way around my pregnant frame comfortably. The sleeves are 3/4 sleeves, which is different, but it makes me feel like I'm really wearing a geisha's robe!The fabric feels like silk on my skin and is so incredibly comfortable. The color of the fabric is much better in person I think. I got peacock, which looks beautiful on my computer screen, but when I saw the actual color, I cried because it was so breathtakingly beautiful....and maybe because I am pregnant and everything makes me cry right now. I feel so elegant and comfortable in this robe. I'm probably going to be living in it for the next year...or two, so I'm going to need to purchcase another one (...or two lol)!!!

This robe is so pretty! Ultra-lightweight and soft against bare skin. I got it in light purple and the color is freakishly gorgeous. I tried to snap some pics but the lighting doesn't do it justice.I'm 5'7 and the length hits me right above my feet. I weigh about 125 lbs and the fit is good, it's not too big and drapes nicely.I like wearing this in the AM when I'm doing my makeup and getting ready, it's comfy and makes me feel pretty.
