Malt Extract Agar - MEA - 10, 100 Millimeter Plates - Sterile

Great product. The agar could be a little clearer though.

Very clean, absolutely no contamination’s prior to messing with them. I have used all ten of them so far and nothing but good things to say. The growth of my mycelium was faster than the past brands I’ve used. In conclusion if your trying to do agar transfers or start your mycelium this is the product for you.

When used in a sterile environment; 5 did not take and produced bacteria that killed our project where as the agar we made out of potatoes under less stringent settings that an autoclave did not have such issues.

As expected

Stored in the refrigerator at ~35 degrees. 4/10 of the plates grew cobweb mold. 3 others grew bacteria. Don't buy.
