This simple adapter is super legit for surf inspired carving and cross-training on your skateboard. I was looking heavily into the surfksates and Carver style skateboard completes, but then discovered this on some message boards.I'm over 30yo, have skated and snowboarded since a teen, and have more recently gotten into surfing. This is a great cross training tool for improving your surfing. The next waves I caught in a sessions after using this for a week had immediate impact on my fluidity and transition between turns and getting down the line quicker. The best part is it'll work with your current skateboard/longboard and you don't need to buy a new pricey complete to satisfy your surf cross-training or carving skate style.I would recommend putting this on a 30"+ cruiser or longboard style skateboard, not your street popsicle deck you take to the park.Super fun add-on to your skateboard and gives it a soulful, pump-able carve that legitimately feels like you are surfing.

I’m 55 and got this for my longboard. Hopefully to make it more like my longboard surfboard. WOW did it work. It’s so good that I ride the skateboard every day now.

So much fun! Great for practicing surf turns. Especially helpful for practicing keeping ur speed thru the turns. Every little driveway ramp is now a little concrete wave!Had this thing for about a month now, still getting used to it, but1) going fast is pretty scary. I reckon you get the most out of it at medium, or even slow speed.2) the adopter looks and feels sturdy. I reckon it'll last. It is also quite heavy, and having that weight at the end of the board means u have to adjust a bit, especially the kick turns etc.I mounted it on a Globe cruiser (33 inch long, see pic). That thing was pretty loose to begin with but you cannot compare the maneuverability to that of the adopter. It is a whole other thing. Can't wait to try it on a skate park.One thing is that the cruiser came with angled spacers so I could not use the ones supplied with the kit. The result is that the front of the board is now a bit higher than the back, but I don't reckon that makes too much of a difference.I find that this setup is a bit too long for me (I'm 167cm, 63kg, mind u). I think it'd be perfect with an old school 30inch deck with a bit of width to it.All n all I'm super happy with it. Helps keeps this land bound surfer sane!

It’s a fun mix up on longboarding. I wouldn’t say it’s exactly like surfing maybe if you put one on the back as well. Definitely decreases the turning radius dramatically and will allow you to pump the board on a flat surface.The adapter is bulky and long. I had hoped to fit it on my Boosted board but the battery is in the way.My advice is loosen your rear trucks as much as possible, go slowish, and enjoy the turns.Would I purchase again? Yes, but I feel like the price point is more like $40-50.

I've tried different longboards and the surf adapter is the only one I found that let's you carve like a surf and snowboard.I put it on a downhill deck to get closer to the road and get more wheel clearance. Great for flat surf and no snow days, has the same feel! Would recommend for carving sessions!

Put this setup on my longboard and it rips so hard now! Kinda sketchy to get used to but it really feels like a wave shredder when riding. I can pump and carve and I’m even teaching my kids to pump with it. Nice product. If you surf youll love it. If you are new to skateboarding you might eat it a lot can be super Akers as it turns on a dime.

The surf and rail adapters breathed new life into my longboard. It carves sooo hard now, and is a lot more stable at high speeds than the Paris trucks alone. With some nice fat wheels (I am using 90mm flywheels), I can make extremely sharp turns without losing control of the board or skidding out. The best thing is that there is no wheelbite when leaning into sharp turns. For $70, the price can’t be beat. When put in a shirt board, it behaves almost like a carve board, but for half the price. They also have a lifetime warranty, which is something that no other company has offered (at least not in my experience), so there is no risk in trying it out. TLDR: Buy this now! You won’t regret it!

I had been buying expensive gulling sidewinder trucks, which are also really good, but the surf and rail adapter with a set of ordinary trucks easily eclipse the sidewinders. Added to my longboard they sit high and take a little getting used to, but I soon mastered the fluid motion required. I love them the best thing, other than riding a wave. I get the same smile on my face as riding a wave, but I stay dry and don’t worry about the sharks. If you love surfing and want something to give you that feeling, then this product is the way to go. Instructions could be clearer for install, but there are videos on their site to refer to. Many thanks to whoever invented these - you have made my year!

The rail adaptor is pretty nice, it improves the experience of waterborne surfskate adaptor, I just have to be more careful as now wheel bites are more common even using a small riser..Three stars - the wrong screws were sent, there wasn’t the red bag of screws as the instructions and website describe. No contact on the product package to ask about it. I had to wait until I had time to go and buy the right screws.I would was expecting the quality of picking and packing the product were so high as the price.

Front trucks work well on my longboard, It turns smoothly, feels solid and makes it easy to pump the board along. Great practice for surfing.I found the rear trucks make the board too soft and absorb the power too much when you’re pumping, making it difficult to cruise along without kicking your foot on the ground They make it really loose so would be good if you’re going downhill, but I prefer it without them.

Great quality product. Tried it on my Carver mini simms WB15” & Jet Overkill longboard WB18.5”. Love the surfy & very steep tilt angle of the waterborne on both decks. If u like more surfy feel, this will suit you. Have a carver C7 set to the extreme soft & surfy feel with soft bushing, tried Yow & Smoothstar as well & it can’t beat the surfy feeling of the waterborne.
