These worked great for my chihuahua on a recent plane trip. The collapsed bowl fit neatly into the thin pocket on the side of her carrier. I was able to pull it out and put some bottled water in it for her during layovers. At my destination, I had one for water and one for food. I would just recommend to use one for water and one for food and not mix them up. My chi is a chewer and I think if I left one out that smelled like food, she might chew it. So I kept her food dish up out of reach when she wasn't actually eating.
