Fantastic Read
Another great read from Kyell Gold. I couldnt put it down, a real page turner.I wont give the story away and spoil it for anyone, your just gonna have to trust me on this one. You will not be disapointed in buying this book. I sure wasnt, but then again i never am when it comes to one of Kyell"s stories. It grabs you from the start and holds on to you all the way though, sucks you in and doesnt let go. Great job Kyell! you are sure talented when it comes to writing a good story. Reading Pendant of Fortune now , and boy oh boy, I got goose bumps. I will continue buying anything from Kyell Gold. Well done Kyell, Well done.

Where Argea began... Right in the middle.
This was the first appearance of Volle, around which an entire world springs to life, full of vibrant, thought provoking characters. This was almost a look back in time to a point where Kyell was more interested in physical romance and less concerned with developing characters. It is pretty amazing to see how far his writing has come and how vividly his characters have evolved from their humble beginnigns.

Fantastic read
Great backstory in the world of Argaea. As usual, Kyell brings this world to life with the addition of a few additional characters, bringing in the events of the Volle series with great effect.

A Showcase of Kyell Gold's Excellent Work
Kyell Gold's Argaea stories lie at the intersection of medieval adventure and gay romance. Though long billed as a writer of furry erotica (and fans thereof will not be disappointed), Gold's stories are also much more; as the characters try to make their way in the world, they frequently grapple with issues of identity, duty, and the meaning of love."The Prisoner's Release and Other Stories" picks up loosely where "Volle" left off, but it is more of a companion piece than a true sequel (that's reserved for "Pendant of Fortune"), and it can stand on its own. Somewhat over half the book is devoted to characters from the Jackal's Staff brothel, and explores the line between sex and love that is highlighted by prostitution. "Inside The Cage" is the longest story, and it is devoted primarily to the hardships of a cougar who has never known a different life. "For Love or Family" tells the converse of that story, from the perspective of a naive patron who soon finds himself too deeply involved. The other two stories follow Volle the vulpine spy, and "The Prisoner's Release" in particular is a must-read. The extreme circumstances under which Volle and Streak meet lend a very visceral effect to the story, and by the end one is genuinely elated at Volle's escape. "Home Again" is much calmer, but still quite sexy and leads into "Pendant of Fortune" well.Overall this is an excellent set of stories, and I'd recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Kyell Gold, furry erotica, gay romance, medieval romance, or anything else remotely related to the series.

Great medieval short stories
The first summary of the short stories that Kyell Gold wrote in his medieval world of Argaea complete the great world he created with his Volle stories as one get's to know other people and how they thrive for existence As well as the story how Ville and Streak once met in jail.If you like his other work or want to start a new exiting reading experience here is the book you should read.
