If you lift, you know what it's like to have to walk around the gym looking not only for a pair of clips, but a pair of clips that don't suck. I got fed up with it and decided to take matters into my own hands. After a bit of research, weighing my options, reading reviews, and checking for deals, I decided on these and I don't have a single regret. They're made of high quality plastic, and have lasted me a good long time. I can be pretty rough on clips being a powerlifter and barbell traiing 3-5 days a week depending on my schedule. Now they're not perfect, when deadlifting with a deadlift bar and alot of weight, they will slip some but not enough during my sets to really cause a problem. As long as I reset every other set or so, I'm good. For the price, you really can't beat it.Pros: quality material, easy to use, great price point, durable, no more searching for clipsCons: SOME slippage, but not so much that is really causes an issue4/5 overall 5/5 for the price, would buy again, would recommend.

These clamps are amazing. I bought a set just to throw on my curl bar and tricep bar when I was switching them between lifts. My weights are under a covered porch outside, and every set of spring clips I've owned have rusted over. I tried some screw on assemblies but never been happy with the time it takes to remove and switch. I know... it's not a huge amount of time, but I'd rather spend it lifting than messing around with clips. I figured I would give these a shot before buying enough for the rest of my equipment. After I received my first set, I bought four more pairs (girlfriend stole two of them for her gym). I don't have the space to keep dumbbells of all different weights for different exercises. You push in the red tab and flip over the black tab to open, close them by just moving the black tab back. They keep a tight grip on the bars, weights won't move them, and I'm more than comfortable holding them overhead without fearing them sliding off. They are a little pricy as far as clamps go but they won't rust over, and save you that extra bit of time in between switching. I'd recommend them to anyone with a home gym.

Easy on, easy off - the correct solution
We had the other kind of clamps, the ones that are shaped like a grip exerciser. The problem with those is that you have grip them steadily in order to get them on and off, and their tolerances are so small that sometimes people with smaller hands struggle. These are great! Slide on, slide off - easy snap, all set. We loved them so much we got three pairs. They work by making the ring larger and smaller based on the position of the lever. In the picture, the left hand shot is with the lever open and the ring larger -- so it slides over any bar without effort -- loose and easy. Then the right hand shot is of the lever closed, the ring is completely locked down smaller and not going anywhere. The red bit is a lever lock, which you easily press down with your thumb in order to open it; this ensures that the clamp won't open unexpectedly. If you change your weights a lot, get these -- they're awesome.

These clamps are MONEY. I do a lot of olympic lifting and droping heavy weights from overhead so I wanted something that wouldn't budge. So far, these are doing a great job.At the gym I do most of my workouts at, they only have the normal spring clamps. After a few drops, they always tend to move an inch or so and I have to adjust them and the weights in the middle of my workout. While I haven't given these clamps nearly as many workouts as I'd like (I don't workout at home too often), they haven't budge a bit. These are worth a lot more than they're selling for on here. The plastic is really sturdy, but I won't be surprised if one of these days they break. I mean, what can you expect when you're dropping hundreds of pounds from shoulder height or above? I'll worry about that when/if it happens though. And if it does, I won't be mad at all. I'll just order another pair.

You ever have this problem?
Have you ever gotten to the end of your workout and you're all pumped up and tired then you notice your forearms have little to no strength to them? Just squeezing then pulling off the collars from the bar is a slight pain in the ass. That's where these collar gems come in. They are very very easy to put on and take off. So easy you really don't even want to do it because it's so easy you think it's not even worth your .8 seconds of time. Then you do it and you like it because it was so stupidly easy. At the end of the day it seems strange to buy collars that your bar already comes with but once you use them and see that it's worth the money, you will most likely forget you spent cash on these. How much was your dunkin donuts coffee this morning? Take a week off of the DD drivethru and you're all set :)

terrific clamps
I've been using these locking clamps now for 6 months strait with no defects and no issues. They are a very hard plastic, with a soft pad on the inside, and have some screws used in the housing.Looking at them, I don't see them breaking any time soon. With respect to their functionality, they do hold weights on the bar very well, and the only time that I ever see any deviation is when I let the bar hit the ground to hard, and the weight kind of "shimmies" the clamp just a little (about a 1/2 an inch at most). Still, these are super clamps that can be manipulated with one hand (if necessary, I find that two is really better so you don't hurt your thumb on the red tab..). And compared to the metal springs.. These make your life so much easier ..

great deal for nearly same quality as the name-brand
great deal at around 2/3rds the cost of the name-brand they copy. I have the name-brand (non "pro" model, so no secondary lock) as well, and the tolerances seem to be tighter (less wiggle), so I assume this is not as good as the name-brand. So far, works just as good, though. Happy with the purchase, expected a 4star set of two collars and received it. I consider the secondary lock (red on this model) to be unnecessary and a time waste, but I don't drop or throw my weights. The weight is .76lbs for the set of two (172g each), with both the name-brand and copy weighing around 6% less than stated (.81lbs).
