Good manual. Using the software this unit has flexibility in settings. It can be turned on and off at the transmitter. Because it has both in and out ports, it is easy to install without separate satellites or receivers. Just install between the RX and the servos. I'm using this on giant scale aircraft, so I only use the signal through the Gyro and power the servos with Y harnesses. This is explained in the manual very nicely. Take-offs and landings are aided by this gyro for nice and straight lines down the middle. Flights are smooth and realistic looking. No heading hold on this one, but other than that, for the price, this is a very nice unit. I have it in three aircraft and plan more.

My experience is with airplanes. The basic gyro sets up without much difficulty but it does get complicated if you want to use its advanced features. Support is not available in USA but rather by email from Thailand. Answers take 24 hours or more when requesting assistance. Local web sites are available but may not have the answers one is looking for. The gyro provides excellent stability during flight and for the most part I am pleased with how it works

Stable operation is vital.
This gyro was a little complicated to use on my Freewing 90mm T-45 EDF Jet, but it performs well in flight. The installation instructions were not as clear as I would prefer, but I was able to install it in a little extra time.

Junk
Did not work correctly. Plane shook constantly. Contacted the maker, was told my settings were wrong. Problem is the software puts bogus settings in when you load or re-load your working config file. Save yourself some time and don't bother.

but not even tech support in forums can stear you in a good direction to get instructions to set heading hold
Buyer be ware, If Heading Hold is a concern FORGET IT!!So many brag they got it to work, but not even tech support in forums can stear you in a good direction to get instructions to set heading hold.It is a complicated GUI and good connection to your computer, but NO good tutorials on the nuts and bolts of the user GUI settings to get this heading lock to work. As a regular in flight stabilizer it's great. But people refuse to answer questions on Headlock in detail.Buy now there should be videos of the GUI pages and steps to get this to work. Fraid not, just show and tell and NOT explain videos.

Great Gyro Product
This gyro works flawlessly with my Futaba transmitter/receiver combo. The labeling on the gyro is easy to read and helps to make the right connections. On other brands of gyros, you have to blank out the transmitter programming. Not with this gyro, it simply works without any programming problems. I managed to stuff the Bluelight gyro into my Tower Hobbies Yak 54, and it flies like a much larger plane - solid in the wind.

Hands Free....Not Yet
I like the reading of what it can (or) should do. I have not been able to fly with this yet. But from reading the manual.(not a sheet of paper) and looking at it over many times, It seems to be a good unit. I have (7) seven Eagle Tree units that are great and this is where my compairsion will come from. One thing that stands out on the Eagle Tree is the horizon that is part of the setup. The price is higher than the Tree $65 vs $85.I like that I can use its own batt.it is not good for it to feed off your flight power.(eat your own electrons).9.4v life batt.Well enjoy may the best one win..because they both will say they are better just to get us to pay....them.D.L.Thomas Tuskegee R/C U.S.Army (ret.)Colorado (Aug 2013)

Great gyro with wonderful software
I bought this gyro a long time ago and have used it in two planes. It's a device you can grow with, and the Windows software brings anything you want to do within reach. Currently I am using it on the rudder channel *only* of my 80 mm electric ducted fan F5 jet. The issue: Our club has a hard surface runway about 25 feet wide. A chain link fence protects the pilot positions. Cross winds are common. EDF jets require a much longer takeoff run than prop planes, and a lot can happen very quickly as a jet builds up speed. Without the yaw (rudder) gyro, I would frequently veer off the runway, either onto grass or even hitting the fence. With the gyro installed on only the rudder, the F5 tracks down the centerline even when crosswinds would otherwise be a problem. Using the software, I programmed the gyro for "straight takeoff mode". When the throttle is advanced to 70 percent, the rudder gain advances to double gain for 4 seconds, then reverts back to normal. These parameters, gain and duration, are user adjustable. Landings are much easier now, especially in crosswinds. The gyro need not be mounted near the center of gravity unless you have the elevator channel connected through the unit. Happily, I can now relax during takeoff and landing and repairs are much rarer. Well worth the price!
