My cat was able to easily escape from it.

My 16lbs cat just ran full-blast after a squirrel. Mid-bound, this harness caught him and pulled his momentum a full 180° horizontally (so did not flip him in a dangerous way). My only regret is not catching it on camera. His shocked look was priceless.

It's certainly not the kind of harness they can just slip out of, but to say escape proof might be a stretch. I could see them getting out of they wanted, but you'd have to totally not be paying attention while you're cat was thrashing around on a leash 🙄I had to get a size larger (Med) for my small cats even though they were on the small side of the measurements for a small, but the medium fits.It's sturdy, but not very adjustable. And while it's simple to put on its a slightly awkward fit.However, it works. I'm using them for emergency harnesses, so all I need is function and time saving, and that they are.

She would not walk into it and it was more difficult than the normal type at least for us. The material is strong! It is padded somewhat and it gave her enough room to squeeze out and it was just around her waist. Was hard to adjust to the right tightness with the padding she used it to her advantage and got free more than once. Now we use it but it is so snug in order for it to stay on she looks uncomfortable.

I ordered extra large and it was too big for my cat they were nice enough to send me a large. And the large fits her so much better thank you guys so much

My cat was strictly an “indoor cat” but every time I went outside she’d go to the door and look out. I didn’t feel comfortable just letting her out because I live in the country and it would be so easy for her to get lost or hurt herself. I never knew there were halters for cats until I was looking for a new dog collar on Amazon. I had to have it! At first she had no intention to put it on but I finally got both legs in and outside we went. Now she looks forward to it. It’s a great product and I’m so glad I found it!

I use the product for my dog a small dog and it was okay it's just I don't think it was sturdy enough

This harness is easy to adjust to the size of your cat. Only issue is that some of the velcro seems to be wearing down after a couple months, but it's still holding up. Additionally, the leash that comes with it isn't too long so I'd suggest getting a retractable leash.
