I love this book because it has study questions after the stories. It has 6 stories in it, and it has study and comprehension questions after every story. It's written in a comic book style.

Unexpectedly funny and engaging

As a homeschool mom with a struggling reader we loved these! He was so motivated because he loved the fun comic stories and started to want to read them by himself!Each lesson is simple but continues to build reading skills throughout the book. At the end there is a certificate of completion which makes it a great reward! The only bad thing is that there are only 4 Phonics books so we will eventually get through them all!

I’m a second grade teacher and I am using these with my students who struggle with decoding words. These include decodable reading passages as well as sight words, comprehension questions, and phonological awareness skills. Pairs great with Heggerty and Letterland lessons. They truly grab the students attention.

This book has been great for my ESOL students in grades 3-5. They love the stories and they are learning to read in English!

Great for early readers

I bought a set of 6 to use with kids in small groups. They were very effective and fun to read. Kids liked the comic style dialogue.

Half of the book is missing.

My home schooling son who is struggling to learn to read has loved these books. He is older and doesn’t like the baby style learn to read books. These comic style fit the bill. We make flash cards from the word list and study before we read the comics. 👍🏼👍🏼
