Essex Industries Ash Canoe Seat - Cane - Clear

Item was exactly as portrayed. Used the old seat to measure cuts for new seat and it installed with minimal effort. Big improvement and was very comfortable on its first trip out which was a week long paddle through lakes in the Adirondacks fully loaded with camping gear for 2 people. Held up well after being soaked by a couple of days of non-stop rain.

Started to pick out the old, blown-out seat caning of a recently purchased, well-used Old Town Camper canoe(17th b-day present for my son!) Seat thwarts were pretty mouse chewed as well and would require a LOT of sanding and refinishing, in addition to the re-caning. My brother mentioned, "You know, you can just buy new ones...". Found these on Amazon, ordered on Sunday, arrived on Wednesday! Size is a perfect match, quality is excellent, will just need to be cut to length and holes drilled for the hanging bolts - eezy peezy - my son and I will work on it together - he's already sanded the carry thwart. We'll be paddling together in no time!

Worked perfectly to replace my Old Town Discovery rear seat. A little templating, cutting and drilling and it was good to go.

These arrived incredibly quickly after I ordered them. They are beautifully finished and very strong, and were very easy to install in my Old Town "Hunter" canoe.

Perfect depth. I just had to gut the ends to the length for my canoe.

How wonderful, the seats are better than we hoped for. All varnished and everything. Fit perfectly on our extra wide canoe.
