It does what the video says, but the video is a bit more polished than normal use. So it’s not quite as easy as the video makes it look. The biggest problem with this tool is holding it down while drawing a full circle. On a wooden table it takes pressure to make it stay. So it’s best to use this on a metal table or plate. You still have to hold it in place lightly or it does drift, but the magnet will keep it on the table if you need to adjust the angle of your hands. The holes are a bit big, so your pencil can drift inside them, but a bigger pencil can help. However, the holes are about the size of a 0.7mm mechanical pencil collar, so that can be used to center the lead as well. Hole side is a trade off of course, as smaller holes wold mean fewer pencils would fit. The holes are about 3mm diameter.The magnets are quite strong, and hold the arms decently tight to the body. The arrow on the arms isn’t very close to the body, so using it to mark angles isn’t very accurate. The arms are 70 mm plus the arrow piece (about 5mm) and then the base (~10 mm radius). The smallest circle hole is about 14mm from the center, and they increase by 4mm increments to 64mm. If you unscrew the smaller base you get two more holes of about 5mm and 8mm diameter.One thing I noticed: the two different center pieces will snap together like a makeshift fidget spinner, so that’s a bonus feature :).It’s packages in a cardboard box, but has a sturdy foam insert you cold put in a nicer case.For what I wanted, it’s not quit adjustable and precise enough. Most or the circles I drew ended up drifting and I had to try again. Also, it’s not easy to center if it does drift. However, it is an interesting tool, and decent quality.

I for sure thought that this product would be a revolution to the use of a standard compass. However, I did seem to run into a few issues. For starters it hard to hold onto some areas and draw an easy circle. The tool for mandala drawing is pretty set in its ways of what shapes you can use so you can really only do one kind of mandala with the curved tool. Though for some standard uses I find myself just using my compass again. Not a bad buy per say but I would want to see improvements to the over all structure of the product. Like maybe a magnet to hold it to thd page instead of use of the finger to hold it in place which was sometimes hard to make the complete circle easy to produce.

It came with no instructions in packaging that had empty spaces as if two were meant to be delivered. I can figure out a bit of it, but have had to go searching on the internet for any crumbs of information I can find. Annoying, because it seems to be more than a circle-drawing can opener bookmark. In a package with empty compartments.

I should have read more about this product before purchasing. By saying its portable, they mean tiny and will fit in you pocket. The straight edge ruler piece came in warped and seems cheaply made. I'm too lazy to return it, so I'll make the best of it.

Needs instructions

I rulers connect at an angle to the paper, so the close lines that I want to follow are hard to make contact with pen or pencil. It's annoying. Otherwise, fun to play with. I stuck it to a cookie sheet for my daughter to draw with.

This product makes drawing mandalas a breeze! I drew the picture above in a hour. Normally it would take me three hours to draw out a mandala at that size it’s 13in. In diameter. If you love to draw mandalas I would highly recommend this product.
