Chums The Band 18-20mm Hemp Series Water Resistant Band Black/Hemp

I bought this to try out as a replacement for the 18mm band on my  Seiko Men's SNK809 . Unfortunately the length is far too long, it was doubled up on the bottom side of the watch making it sit awkwardly high off my wrist. Also, the 20mm hemp section that sits wider than the 18mm black/velcro makes this band too wide for a watch designed to be worn with an 18mm band like the Seiko. It just didn't look or feel right. I would only recommend this item if you need a 20mm or wider band and you have larger wrists to accomodate the generous length. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

The hemp is softer than the all nylon & comfortable to wear

Honestly, I do not understand why reviewers keep giving these bands a bad wrap! I’ve been wearing the Chums The Band-Hemp since 1994! No, of course not the same one! These are absolutely amazing! I have metal allergies, so normal watch bands gave me troubles for years. Until, one day a coworker had one on. He was shocked I’d never heard of them before! Well, it was the 90’s after all! Once I found them, ive been wearing them ever since!They do wear out over time...I replace mine about ever 3-4 years or so. And I can tell you, you’ll simply know when they’re done! They smell and look like that old t-shirt everyone is finally telling you to get rid of...but you just can’t! Same exact thing! This last week was the first time I’d ever thrown mine in with a load of laundry. Just make sure you close the Velcro to itself, and I placed mine in a small zipped washer bag...smells and looks amazing now! Not sure why I didn’t do this sooner...as we perspire, the band can hang onto “your smells” over time! Throw them in your laundry! These bands ROCK!Two cons-however....1. They’re getting more difficult to find, as it appears Chums maybe giving up on The Band...perhaps due to bad reviews of misunderstanding maybe?2. Shipping costs of $6 is a bit excessive for such a small light weight item!Other than that, I swear by these BANDS! Please Chums, don’t give up! Maybe some more of you’re fun fantastic colors and patterns! Perhaps run a new contest for the 5 new colores and patterns perhaps! I honestly can not live without these!Hope this helps, and I hope you’ll enjoy yours as much as I’ve adored mine for years!
