Incredible product
I've bought several of these over the past two years. I finally broke one that was two years old after a fall from eight feet off of a wall ride. It broke because my knee went into the frame triangle and caused the bottle to crack where it meets the mount. Pretty sure a regular cage would have snapped. Prior to this, the bottle has survived countless crashes, bangs, getting caught on branches, falling down slopes, etc. Out of all the components on my bikes except for cranks and handlebars, this bottle has been the most durable. Everything else breaks or wears out from this much abuse.

Really good. Although I have dropped it a few times when riding rough.
I ride a mountain bike one really rough terrain. I have a fidlock under my downtube. I've found if I fill the bottle all the way up it will sometimes come off. I think it happens when I get a little sideways the g-forces mimic the motion of taking it off. If I fill it up 3/4 it seems to hold on fine. I like how there is no cage when I don't use the bottle. The magnetic mounting is super slick and intuitive. If it weren't for the few times I've had to go back up trails looking for my bottle (when I filled it up all the way with water) I'd give this 5 stars.

Pricey but worth it
This cage-and-bottle combo is of course pricier than most but it works well, just as advertised. I have it attached to a folding bike, where the bottle goes on the one and only, main tube of the frame. That's always a troubled position, near-horizontal, as the bottle flies off the frame with any powerful jolt. So this product has come to solve that problem once and for all. As soon as you get used to the slight rotation that's needed to get the bottle in and out of the "cage" (it's really a base and not a cage at all), you can rest assured that your beverage of choice won't fly off the handle, ever.

Not for every style of downtube
Right away there were issues with this product. This only works if your downtube is perfectly straight/flat. I have an underside mount on my Yeti with a downtube protector and a slight curve. If the male mounting end isn't perfectly level, it will not secure the bottle. With the downtube protector, the bolts securing the mounts squish the protector, and curve the male end of the mount. This product failed the first ride even when i thought it i had it installed and shimmed up properly resulting in a cracked bottle. The bottle itself is junk as well. The bottle is flimsy af, and the mouthpiece is absolute junk. It sticks, doesn't squirt water well so of course you waste water every time you drink out of it.notes: downtube protector came on the bike

JUNK
I did not even hesitate to think nothing but excellence about this product given that Seth (Seth's Bike Hacks) reviewed and loved the product. I loved the way it looked and felt and the magnetic locking system I had thought at the time was a great idea. Low and behold the Fidlock TWIST bottle lasted less than 5 minutes at my local singletrack. I would LOVE to return this item but seeing as I physically cannot return back to seller I am pretty disappointed for a $40 water bottle to be gone so soon.

Great product. It does it’s job.
This is a great bottle holder. I’ve never lost a bottle since using it. I purchased this one for my son, but own the same item and use it on some pretty to rocky trails. I’ve lost several bottles in these trails and that’s the reason I purchased the Fidlock bottle system. The bottle itself is not that great, but it’s nice to know it’ll be right where you left it when your on the trails.

Pricey but work great
Great product. Used these bottles and magnet/ mechanical mount for areas of bike that would not work for conventional bottle mount. Bottle stays attached through very rough bumps, road terrain. Simple twist release of bottle releases from mount. Simple to re-attach , almost self attaches with bottle hover over magnetic mount. Easy to get used. Kinda spoils you. Pricy though, but if space limits conventional cages and bottles, this is a good substitute. Downside is this system doesn’t allow for regular bottles to swap out. Mag mount is specific to bottle.

GREAT!
If you're like me and don't like to carry a pack unless you have to this is for you. Extremely sturdy and easy to use. Could be a little bigger bottle but I'm not complaining.

Meh
Meh. Got one as a present so bought another to have a pair. Magnetic connection works fine. However it’s since become apparent that stowage isn’t significantly easier than conventional cage/bottle designs. A frustrating feature is the drink nozzle- it wants to close at the merest touch, touch your lips to it and you’ll struggle to get the liquid out. I’m a road cyclist and still get bounced around. Another downside-600ml. I prefer 700/800ml and no large option from fidlock. Get yourself a carbon cage and conventional bottle for less £££ and drink easier.

Disappointing
Bottle is very rigid so you can’t squeeze water into your mouth.Valve is average.Retention system is clever but floored. I found the bottle frequently dislodged which finally culminated in the bottle bursting under back wheel. Funny if not so expensive.-Anecdotally; I’ve never lost a bottle before, not even on Paris Roubaix.Avoid unless frame geometry rules out standard cage.

Cap leaks!
Nice idea, and solid on bike. But twist cap leaks juice all over my frame. And have now found out that it's ridiculously difficult to return items to warehouse in Munich, Germany.

THE BEST
just amazing, stays on through anything, so simple to take off to drink and can slip it back into place with no worries at all. Also a super slick design so some wont even know a bottle goes there.

Expensive but worth it
tad expensive but I've had a few big offs lately and it hasn't moved at all. Absolutely solid and worth the investment
