SHENKEY 1000 lumen bike light is bright, versatile and long lasting. Good quality, compares well with others
In the past 1-2 years I purchased several bicycle lights and compared them. I needed to move away from battery-powered lights toward USB-rechargeable lights and since I have several bikes I needed lights for them. I am looking, in general, for cheaper yet bright and decent quality lights. The SHENKEY NR-8, 1000 lumen bike light I purchased a few days ago is just great. It is bright, versatile, appears well manufactured and compares well with the more expensive brands.Quick update on the SHENKEY: it is really nice and bright, cars give me plenty of space. One problem though: if set on flashing/strobe at night, while very bright and highly visible, the top margin of the front lens reflects some of the flashing light upwards, towards the eyes of the person riding the bike and becomes really annoying after awhile. As a solution, I cut two small strips of a silver sticky tape and placed them at the top of the lens to block light shining into my eyes. This worked well (see attached picture). The manufacturer should adjust the design and block light shining upwards towards the rider. Otherwise, this is an excellent light. Here are my rankings of the various lights I tested and/or own.- The top of the line for me is the Cateye VOLT 1200. Great light, but a bit expensive (>$100). It is very bright, I use mostly its flashing mode and it lasts long on one charge. Very good also for Daylight visibility. Solid built.- Next would be the Cygolite Metro 1100. Quality built, like the Cateye. Great flashing mode, daylight visibility. Light, durable, does not rattle while biking. Price is >$65-70. Certainly rivals the Cateye and at almost half the price- I also have a Cygolite DASH pro 600; it has a rubber mount system, very quick to attach/detach, great lighting options including several separate small LEDs, and includes Daylighting. I use it on occasion, but like it very much; it is at almost same level with the Metro 1100.- Next, in my opinion, would be the INTEY 1000 and this SHENKEY NR-8 1000 lumen. They are both well built, although the INTEY is about $10 more expensive. I used the INTEY for over 4-5 months, and while it works very well, lasts long on one charge and lighting modes are great, the one trouble I had with it is that being a bit heavier it partially ruins the mount. It happened to me twice, each time after about 2-2.5 months of riding on street pavement (I commute daily, almost an hour. The company is quick to replace the mount but this became a bit annoying. I hope they fix the mount design so I can continue to use the INTEY. The SHENKEY is my replacement of the INTEY. The SHENKEY has about the same feel, lasts well, good lighting options. It is a bit heavier than the Cygolite (though maybe not as heavy as the INTEY) but its mount appears more solid, does not vibrate much on the road, the entire light seems more solid when riding. Very bright, cars clearly give me my space on the road- Next, I have a so-called “Powerful USB rechargeable front and back waterproof solid aluminium bike “ from BitBike. According to the company, it is a 1200 lumen light (2 LEDs). I wanted it since it has two 18650 batteries built in, that can be also replaced. I use it all the time on my commuter bike. It lasts reasonable amount of time (about 4-6hrs on LOW setting, and it is bright. Costs about as much as the SHENKEY but I think the SHENKEY is better built- Next, I have a so-called “High Power LED Bike light Bike Front Headlight Minchen 1200Lumens”. It is very light, small, yet remarkably powerful for its size/weight. Lasts about 4-6hrs on low setting or flash mode and re-charges very fast. It has a rubber attachment system, can be attached to the bike and removed in seconds. I use this light almost every day while commuting. I usually use two front bike lights, one in constant mode the other in flashing mode and this makes me very visible to cars on the road.- Last but not least, I have a Blitzu Gator 390 USB rechargeable light. I use it at least once a week, mostly in blinking mode. Sufficiently bright, small and not heavy, it mounts via via a rubber band, so easy to install and remove. Charges fast, a good light. Bottom line: whenever I bike in the evening or night, I use two front lights (one constant, one flashing). During the day I use one front light in flashing mode. For rear lights I purchased two Cygolite Hotshot 100 and two Cateye Rapid lights (an X2 and an X3) for my various bikes. . They are all great at night, but the Hotshot 100 is probably brighter for Daylighting.

I am very pleased to receive the lights
I am very pleased to receive the lights, i love it a lot. Both lights are bright work extremely well. This bike headlight was exactly as I expected. It is amazing and very high quality. The front light is USB rechargeable and I can connect power bank if power nearly runs out. i definitely recommend this product for all the buyers who need it.

First one i ordered didn’t work, returned and #2 works great. If first worked would be 5 star
Bought two, this one with the smaller battery and the new one with larger bat. Use the small one on helmet and bigger on bars. Works awesome with two. Nice and bright, riding single track in woods, black and blues.

Good bike light
Good bike light. Battery lasts longer than others I’ve used. I like the way it attaches to the handle bars. I would recommend this bike light.

Unreliable
I bought this lamp for my commuter bike. It worked fine for a few days. Then, it started to change intensities if the bike hits small bumps. In the end it simply shorted. Very disappointing.

Would rate it 5 stars except for one concern.
I really like this light's features including the daytime running light, the ability to turn the mounting to the left or right, the long life battery with battery level monitor, and especially the light sensitive detector for automatic brightness level. My only complaint is the inability to control the strobe light flash rate. I think the rapid flashing strobe light would be very annoying to oncoming drivers.
