Useful idea with a few minor flaws
Basically the idea of this product is really good. The strips hold most sizes of spice containers and you can put them on any cabinet door. It really has saved a lot of space in my cabinets. All of the issues I've had with these are relatively minor, and before you read the next paragraph, realize that I really do like these despite the problems I've had.First of all, as you'll hear from most reviews, the adhesive that comes with these is terrible. I figured I'd use it because it seemed like the easiest option, but 4 McCormick regular-sized bottles of spices was too much for it to take when opening and closing the cabinet door (it fell off after a week or so). Of course, the strips come with screws and holes for the screws, so as long as you don't mind screwing it into your cabinet, no big deal. The other issue is that when you place fatter spice containers (like Wal-mart brand) into the holders, they easily expand to hold the larger containers. Of course once they expand they're not exactly easy to un-expand. Basically you can't make it hold a fat container and then choose to switch it out for a thinner one, (without using pliers to make it re-conform).Of course the point above are mostly trivial to me, but enough to drop it by 1 star. Still like the product.

They Work!
First, the bad - yes, these stick-on jar holders are made of plastic, and I'm sure that the clips will eventually stretch or break. However, until that happens, they work exactly like they should. They stick onto the wall (I put mine on the side of my fridge and they are holding beautifully) and they hold a variety of sizes of spice jars from a variety of companies, not just the plastic bottles as shown in the picture.A couple of ones they will not hold are:- the older McCormick jars with the sea-green lids- the newer McCormick jars with black lids that aren't flip-tops - those unfortunately are just a little too small and slide through. The flip-top lid hinges prevent them from dropping through, but they aren't exactly secure. I re-use glass spice jars, so I'm going to have to weed out those types of lids from my collection.- odd-shaped bottles with short necks, sloping shoulders and narrow lidsThe installation directions were easy to understand and follow, and removal will probably be a little more of a pain than it should be, but the manufacturer of the jar clips seems to be intent on using adhesive that will stick well to a variety of surfaces (unlike the maker of the plastic self-adhesive hooks I bought recently).

Careful Placement is Crutial
These are the perfect solution for easy access to spices without having them on the countertop or backsplash where grease and dust can accumulate on them. **But** be very careful when installing the clips - the adhesive is SO strong that once applied, the clip set absolutely cannot be moved without destroying the adhesive and leaving quite a mess on the door.I have a new Kraftmaid 12 inch cabinet next to the stove. I installed six strips on the inside of the cobinet door. They now hold 24 spice bottles of various sizes and shapes. Each strip of clips fits precisely within the cabinet door opening, but there's no room for error. Wider cabinets can accommodate additional clips, since each strip of clips is scored so that one or more may be removed from a strip to be used along side of another strip or singly. Before installing them, be sure your shelves are in their final, optimal position within the cabinet because moving a shelf once the clips are installed may leave you with the now immovable clips in the wrong place. Before removing the adhesive's backing, determine which bottles will be on which strips because the strips must be placed so that bottle's tops, bottoms and sides clear both the shelves and the cabinet's fascia when the door is closed. The clips work much better with light weight plastic bottles - heavier glass bottles tend to slip out of the clips due to their weight. But I have been able to use some glass bottles by wrapping several rubber bands tightly around them just above where the clips hold them. The instructions suggest using plastic bottles with a maximum diameter of no greater than 1 ¾ inches, and between 2 and 4 inches in length.I've ordered additional clips because I now see how many other uses around the home, boat and RV they can have. I'm considering using separated clips vertically in a parallel fashion to hold fishing rods. I'm also considering using them to hold light cleaning tools, small spray bottles and prescription bottles. I may even start saving empty spice jars to use with the clips to store small nails and such in the garage.

Great Concept that Did Not Hold Up
After renovating my kitchen, I realized my new cabinet configuration left me with no "spice drawer" and I purchased this organizer (2 sets) as a replacement. These are now fixed to the inside of a cabinet door.Should have stopped "installation" when I realized the double-sided tape had to be correctly situated the first time - there is no room for minor adjustments without tearing the adhesive backing. Instead, I was simply more careful. At first everything was OK, but after time, the plastic "arms" that clasp the spice containers began holding onto the containers more loosely. Any glass spice containers are now too heavy (even if the jars are not full) to be held up by the same clasps. This is a problem for me because I am one of "those people" who alphabetize their spices; I don't want to keep moving the spices around just because the clasps have lost some of their holding power.I really dread taking these organizers from the new cabinet doors because I know scraping will be involved. However, I need to find a different, space saving option, and I am sure Amazon will have something to fit the bill.
