Very interesting critters
I received my order today. My first impression was "jeez, these things are 'kinda small' for 30A use!"Because the contacts are "barrel" type, make sure you have a PROPER crimper! NOTE: the maximum usable wire size is 10 gauge (thus, the "30 Amp" rating).Assembly notes:1) depending on the wire used, you may have to "shave down" the insulation (1/2" behind the strip line) so it'll easily enter the rear of the connector.2) the contact is a "one-way" insertion! do not try to insert it "upside down".3) when inserting the contact, push hard enough until you hear/feel a "click" - this indicates the connector is fully locked!4) DO NOT allow wire strands to protrude past the "wire stop" on the contact! this will prevent the contact from locking.5) DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR WIRE "POLARITY" BEFORE INSTALLING A CONTACT! if you use the "wrong color" body (i.e., black when you wanted red), it's a REAL BITCH to remove the contact and you may need to cut it off and apply a new contact.Anyhoo, they do seem to Do The Purpose for which they're designed.

What you need to know... NO ROLL PIN INCLUDED
Granted I'm a newbie to Anderson Power Pole connectors. As a matter of a fact, I just finished putting my first one on using these connectors. The connectors seem to work find. Granted I don't have much or matter of a fact any experience using others but I had no issue with them. Now onto what I don't like... These do NOT come with the roll pin that locks the two plugs together. I've ready that Anderson doesn't include the roll pin. That might be so, however many other sellers on Amazon do include the roll pin. It's such a small and cheap part, this seller should just throw it in especially when others on Amazon are doing that.

Power Poles 30 AMP
Work great, 15 and 30 AMP, price is ok for what you get. Shipping packed correctly for the shipping charge. Very positive on connecting to a power pole base connection. Locking pins are handy.

I will never use a cigar lighter plug again!
These are the best thing since sliced pickles. No more having devices come unplugged all by themselves, no more overheating connectors. These are not only very solid and reliable, but they're also a very clever design that doesn't have "male" or "female" sides - there's only one kind, and by sliding them together as a pair, you can be sure the polarity is right because you can't plug it in upside-down. This is the invention of the decade. Or the last decade - I don't know how long these have been out there, but they are the RIGHT answer for low voltage power connections.

Expensive but high-quality, durable connectors for medium-high current circuits (20 Ampere in my case)
I used these to connect a 36-volt lithium battery package to a Bafang BBS02 590-watt bicycle motor, and they have functioned flawlessly. You do have to insert the connector part into its plastic sleeve, but that can be done with ordinary hand tools like needle-nosed pliers if you are careful. Be sure you have it done correctly so that when you mate the two connectors you get a really good, broad contact surface to transmit the current, especially if you are passing high current loads through these connectors ! My maximum current draw 15-17 Amperes or so and these connectors work fine for that load over 3 months of intermittent use. These are "gender-less" connectors, so YOU must make very certain you have polarity correct before making the final connections--it is possible to cross-wire or make reverse-polarity connections. I recommend marking each wire with tape, etc to avoid any possible confusion.

These are great connectors - I used all of mine and I can recommend
I have used all of these connectors - I need to order more. These connectors are: molded to fit together, have thick metal pins, parts stay assembled. The only note that they left out was to get the Anderson crimper for them. I recommend them fully. One more note - the pins are hard to assemble with "soft" (thin strand) wire so I use a small screw driver but I wish there was a tool...

These have long been my favorite connectors; I use them primarily for the connections in my electric R/C aircraft - batteries, motors, chargers, etc., but I also use them for other things like battery/light connectors for cycling night lights and for other similar connections. They'll carry plenty of current for most applications (I typically run them up to 45 amps or so), and with the easy connection orientation versatility I can adapt them to most situations where I need a connector (and no worries about having the wrong connector gender). Some people just crimp these, but I crimp and then wick solder into the wire/tab interface. This creates a solid, low-resistance worry-free connection. Highly recommended!

Best connector when you frequently connect/disconnet electronics.
I've used these for many different applications where I move electronics between different power sources, or need to remove a component (like a battery pack). You can't beat Powerpoles for standing up to hundreds of connect/disconnect cycles. When connected, they stay connected under most conditions.. UNLESS the cables are going to move around significantly. Provided you are connecting multiple powerpole connectors linked at least as a pair, you can use a ZIP TIE to loop across the two sets of connectors to ensure they do not pull apart. The internal metal connector is spring loaded so when you connect two together, they always press against each other. The connectors also appear to be silver plated for excellent conductivity. The connector its self is not the limiting factor to the amount of current they carry.. it is the size of the wire you attach. I believe the "30 Amp" connector, which supports a 10 gauge wire, will actually carry over 3x that current (if you could attach a large enough wire to the connector). The benefit having connections with super low resistance, is the connectors never heat up (even when pushed).
