Schreiber-Bogen Graf Zeppelin D-LZ 127 Card Model

I held my breath worried that this would come bent and folded by the mail carrier! But it was packed so well that I received it in absolutely pristine condition :)Superb model! And coe-dos for this seller!!!!

The intent of this kit is for a quality build. The card stock and graphics are very good. UNFORTUNATELY the instructions are useless and construction is very detailed and not intuitive. I'm an experienced modeler and enjoy challenges. I studied the contents but I could not begin to get my head around this project to expect acceptable results. Returned for refund. Would like to know how others giving positive reviews accomplished their good results.

First, let me say I'm giving this model 3 stars because it is exactly what the seller says it is. It is a paper card model, requiring you to cut out the pieces fabricate them and glue them together.I'm writing this review because I went by the reviews that are already on here and they all said that they love the model that it looked great and that it needed a little skill. I wanted to leave a review for the average modeler. This model is very very hard to put together. The instructions are in mostly German and are meager at the best. The illustrations don't help much more. For instance, it would have been nice to know weather the glue on the inside or outside when you're adding rings there's no instruction for this. My model may have looked a little bit better if the instructions were just easier, no not easier if they existed at all. I don't consider what I got instructions, I got a basic diagram that showed where things went but not how to do them or where to put them properly. I got about halfway through with the model and saw that I was building this Frankenstein monster that I wouldn't show to anybody much less myself. Unfortunately my $35 is now in the trash can.So, unless you're a master modeler if you have experience putting something like this together, are you just a lot better than I am. Do not waste your money. I'm a very competent model builder but this thing got the better of me from the very beginning. Hope this helps some of you I warned you.

I built this model when I was 12 years old then again when I was 15. The last one at 48.In my opinion it is the best representation of the Graf Zeppelin you can build that is a store bought kit. Looks very good if you take your time. I used stick glue to assemble and regular white glue to reinforce but not to much white glue to avoid warping. I also added a couple pieces of wood dowel stock inside to attach magnet wire to hang it up with. It is actually very sturdy because of the bulkhead construction. Sort of like a eggshell.

Great Model! Easy to build and size is very impressive! Model design is just about perfect except for black ( not red) nameplate lettering on the hull above gondola area.

Started making the Graff. It is difficult to maintain the shape of the hull during assembly. Would it not be better to have the supports in one part rather than two.?

Der Modellbogen ist in einer sehr guten Qualität. Da ich schon einige Modelle von diesem Hersteller gebastelt habe ,hatte ich nichts anderes erwartet. Ein Hinweis für Anfänger,die Gondeln sollte man nach dem Aussschneiden und Ritzen der Faltkanten gut vorrunden und dann von Innen die Stirnseiten mit Heißkleber fixieren. Danach mit normalem Bastelleim das Dach einkleben.Ich habe noch gleich während der Bauphase zwei Ösen (Draht, verklebt mit je einem Spant 2 und 13) nach Außen geführt, um das Modell später einfacher aufhängen zu können. Das Modell macht echt was her !

Le produit est conforme à ce qui était attendu.Il est de bonne qualité.Après ce qui rend difficile et pas forcément à la portée de tous est le fait que ce ne soit pas en Francais, donc à déconseiller aux jeunes enfants.

Definitely not for any child and also absolutely difficult to assemble as grownups. First of all, cutting off details takes ages, and then glueing is killing and not fitting perfect. Absolutely disappointed
