Instructions almost correct
Reviews for this item vary from excellent to bad. Reason being the instructions are insufficient. This is a product that is based on applying a resinous liquid to fill extremely minute cracks and crevices utilizing many laws of Physics. Factors like Temperature and Pressure are very important and more important is to how to apply them and when. It's important to follow the instructions as far as the cleaning the crack with the blade, the location of the suction cups and the cylinder, the determination of the amount of liquid needed based on the size of crack, the pressure applied with the pressure screw, the duration for which the contraption should be left untouched. But I differ with the heat application idea with the manufacturer. I can assure you that applying the liquid in the shade and then placing it in the sun or applying a hair dryer WILL NOT work. It may help with the curing process but it will definitely defeat the purpose of the pressure application as the heat will eject the liquid resin from the crack before it has a chance to cure. My suggestion is heating the windshield prior to application by either placing the car in the sun (best option) or applying heat from an external source such as a hair dryer or using the car heater front defogger for a few minutes, then move the car to the shade and THEN apply the resin while allowing the unit to cool down slowly, following the rest of steps as per the manufacturer's instructions. Mind the amount of the liquid resin and try to minimize it. Any extra resin will protrude out of the surface of the glass and may become hard to get rid of and may damage the windshield. You can always repeat the process if you see that the amount used was not enough. This Hot to cool method will allow the resin to be sucked in deeper into the cracks as the air inside the cracks contracts due to cooling off and sucking the liquid deeper into the cracks giving a far more superior result. Good luck.

Set it to Wumbo
Got this to repair a bull's eye chip in my driver-side windshield. I guess the epoxy didn't get all the way in and left a bubble in there, this is either my fault of the epoxy being too viscous to get all the way in there to do the job. I did this at like 2am where there was no sun, it was about 20F degrees outside that night, so that might of interfered, but the directions never stated to not work in sub-freezing temps. As a side note, the little stamp plastic pieces used to flatten the epoxy was much larger than the suction cup pieces and needed to be cut down for the suction cups to place well. After a night of curing, I removed the suction press and plastic to cut away from the windshield and noticed a few bubbles, most of them were surface and were cut off, but the one deep in the window was the only one that bothered me since it was right in the driver's field of view. Besides that, everything worked well enough and for $10, I hope this prevents any further development of the crack.

Can cause damage to your windshield
I had a small pea size chip in the windshield that was a slightly noticeable. The kit came on time, and instructions were clear. I performed the chip repair as instructed. I found 2 serious problems: removal of the adhesive overage and pressure cracks. I was careful not to apply too much adhesive, but even with a small amount of adhesive the curing strip spreads the adhesive over a large area. After the adhesive was cured, I removed with the razor blade. The area around the chip came off clean, but the area above chip will discolor with any scraping. If left unscraped, it is very apparent there is something on the windshield, like tree sap. The other problem is that after use, I noticed small cracks emanating from the center that was not seen prior repair. I think the repair is good for those that want to an okay repair, but it will not look original.

Seems to have stopped the dings from spreading.
I tried multiple times and it didn't get rid of my dings, but it does seem to have stopped them from spreading so far. I'm in a cold climate, so maybe in warmer weather it works better? The directions were not very specific about how long it would take to work or how long to keep the liquid or suction tip on there. It looked clear from the inside of the glass, but when I pulled off the tool the ding was still there. I tried until I ran out of liquid, but my dings are still there.

Impressive...
Is it perfect--as good as a new windshield? No. But for the price, totally worth it!!! I used this kit on multiple dings and chips. The suction thing i am saving for future fixes and will buy more resin if need be. Had plenty of time to fuss with application when working under a roof. It really does cure by UV light or is a lot faster that way.My chips look better and are less distracting. The key is to get ALL the air bubbles out before curing. This kit has enough supplies to reapply if you make a mistake. Note:i only used this on chips, not cracks; i can't vouch for use on cracks.

Pay attention to details and it will work fine.
This product came with good instructions. This was my first time repairing my own glass, so I was a little sloppy. Make sure the frame is perfectly centered over the center of the chip. Took me a little to figure out how tight the chamber needs to be, so made a little mess. However, didn't affect the repair, I think. I scraped off the excess. I still see a little of spider, but the chip looks smaller (other pro repairs on other vehicles I also still saw some evidence of chip/crack).

Works great!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Product worked amazingly well. Would definitely buy again if I were to get another crack

Quick and effective!
Great product! After 2 applications the chip is barely noticeable. Sure beats the alternative!!

Works better than I thought.
Windshield got hit with a rock on the highway. Quarter sized bullseye crack. I decided to try this before it became a bigger issue. I put this device right in the middle of the crack. Followed the instructions. I honestly can hardly even see the crack anymore. I can't believe how well it worked to tell you the truth. Took like 30 min. Good stuff.

Works well, seals and fills cracks easily
I had a small rock chip on my windshield, thought I would try a DIY solution. After watching some YT videos on how to do it, I felt confident to try on my own. I ordered this kit, and it was much easier than I thought it would be. I can barely see the crack on my windshield now, and the kit held up great. I still have enough for a few more chips if need be. Very happy with the kit, and much cheaper than going to a shop.

Has potebtil
Your experience may vary but the product has potential. It fills chips well and the curing film works. It leaves a thin film which can be scraped away with the included razor blade. Messy but looks like it will stop spreading. Also tried on a long crack ~15-20 cm. You drop the fluid into the crack, which can be difficult and cover with the curing film. About 20% of the crack is “fixed”. A thin line remains but the bulk of the crack has been filled in. The other areas some some improvement but overall the crack did not materially change. Heat definitely helps the liquid penetrate cracks.Overall has potential but don’t expect miracles for $10

Very impressed with the results.
I'm quite impressed with this product. I had 2 deep bullseye crack beside each other. After applying the product the cracks on the windshield was %95 gone. You can hardly notice the repair and any resemblance of a crack. It's to be expected that the repair kit can not make a full crack disappear. I'm quite happy with the results. The product is great value and quality and the instruction are easy to follow. For the money and quality of the product. You can't beat it
