WORX WX066 Sidekick Portable Work Table

The item arrived in retail box that obviously had a rough ride and was not impressed. On opening there was slight damage to paintwork and surface scratches to plastic surfaces that although do not affect operation is not what is expected and is a result of using only retail packaging.The idea is good and the set up is very easy and quick and ideal for those requiring a work bench that quick, sturdy and practical. However, the work bench has not been thought out for attachments such as clamps, bench dogs, toggle clamps or anything that requires through access. The access holes for the small bench dogs provided work well but for those requiring through access there are lots of obstructions such as the cross braces sited right below the corner holes and the centre row of holes are useless because they are all obstructed by the hinges.The idea of multi tables is good but the small plastic tabs would be better with screw clamps or plates that pop up when in use especially on uneven surfaces onsite.The legs constructed of steel feel flimsy but in action are adequate but would be certainly under strain with heavy loads again on uneven or sloped surfaces.Like the idea but would not purchase again until it has been modified and refined.

I do occasional work from my garage and need flexibility in workspace. Rather than have one large bench I use these two together or fold one or both up to create extra space as I need it. These are very easy to put up or fold away, and both are pretty sturdy.The one disappointing thing is that I mistakenly thought they were the same size. Whilst they do have the same height they are not the same top size so do not clip together as I anticipated.Not the end of the world for me but thought others might like to be made aware.Would still recommend as a flexible work top option.

I already have a B and B Work mate. But it is quite heavy and trying to set it up can be a pain. Opening the legs and trying to release the catches on the sides that stick sometimes. And there is no one to help you pull the base while you hold the top. This table is a lot more easy than that. It only has 2 parts the top and the legs.You unclip 2 catches that holds the table together when its folded. Take out the legs pull them open place the table top. On top of the legs ( Each leg fits into a slot in the corner of the top) Turn a locking bar to secure each leg. Doneit is a bit heavy but nat as much as the Work mate. The Works unit is ok in its own right but it can not replace the Work Mate.

🙂👍agree with previous reviewer .. a really well designed , well built .. really really handy and portable very versatile table .Probably will be my go to .. for many many duties .Am also using the Pegasus , and Mcallister (Keter) tables , & worx jawhorse , and now the sidekick . All have their benefits , all are gr8 🙂👍.The sidekick is handy transportable small , about 2ft square , but a very useable stable space , when easily set up , nice height too , and is really light and manageable to go .. and has got 4 handy ,useful bench dogs too 🙂👍.I’m very impressed .. it is a useful , well worthwhile addition..yep , it’s not as big as the other mentioned tables , but maybe that is it’s strong point in many circumstances ..well happy with mine , gr8 product 🙂👍.

Bought in sale to go with pegasus bench. Great addition. Easy set up. Its not flush with bench as when connecting both together they dont line up. However, this table is a must if you need to extend pegasus and a must for diy. Been used loads of times from decorating to woodwork. Comes with dogs. Stronger than it looks. If you are thinking of getting one there are loads of reviews on you tube.

This is my first work bench/table and for me its the perfect size unpacked and put up in less than a minute it seems sturdy enough for what I will be using it some diy projects general crafting and gardening. Easy to disassemble too and to store. After reading the reviews on conventional work tables and there faults I was swayed to try this and I'm already pleased.

I used it as a construction table, a tool support while doing other things and also a saw table using a suitable clamp.

Amazingly simple yet sturdy design. A brilliant utility table that you can set up in seconds. Recommend this for the budding DIYer's or professional tradesmen who need an extra pair of hands, this table is the business. It can even be used as a picnic table, it's that good.I love it and would buy again in an instant.

This is a useful work table. It is surprisingly sturdy and stable considering its light weight. Highly recommended.

This table is such a clever design,we have used it for decorating as an addition to the worx bench and its latest use as a grooming table for our chihuahua cross Buddy, with a blanket over it it is really useful.

I’ve used this item for several different occasions. On Father’s Day as a table with a cloth on, for potting plants with an of-cut of cushionflor. And obviously as a handy workbench

nice and portable keeping me off my knees while cutting tiles. Added bonus of making me irresistible to the opposite sex again. So far so good.
