We live in a 100 year old cottage- dusty!! These bags can be overstuffed! :) I use them all the time...

Some air leakage due to design difference.
There is a gasket between hose and bag that is flexible. One set of bags I received had loose fitting gaskets with an accordion-folding "enviro-closure" (mechanism to seal off the hole when throwing out the filled bag). The folded up closure creates an air leakage between hose and bag. Tearing off the closure helps but I still have some air leaking due to the gasket being too large. Another set of bags I received has a smaller opening/better-fitting gasket and a different style Enviro-closure. It's the better design of the two, more like the original Miele Type F bag with a rigid cover.
