Rice Dispenser (26 lbs.)

We eat a lot of rice in our house and this has eliminated hand-scooping and measuring rice a cup at a time, while doubling as rice storage. We usually keep a 23-25lb bag of rice on-hand and stored somewhere in the house; instead you can just pour it all into here and not have to worry about re-filling a small storage container over and over. Assembly was easy--just had to wash everything with warm soapy water first. This sounds so trivial, but if your family makes rice almost every day, it becomes cumbersome and this rice dispenser completely takes that part away.Tip: When pushing the lever down to dispense rice, it takes a few seconds for all of the rice to fall out of the chamber--do it too fast and you'll get the wrong measurements or even possibly jam the lever. Listen for the rice to stop falling into the dispenser drawer before pushing the lever up to fill the chamber again, and repeat for as many 1-cup measurements you need before taking the dispenser drawer out.

After weeks of research and reading reviews on many sites regarding many rice dispensers, I choose this one. I love it. It holds plenty of rice and doesn't take up too much space on my counter (I have a very small kitchen for a family of 6). We eat a lot of rice and this has made storing it so much easier. The rice is fresh and the dispenser is made well. I would purchase again and recommend this item. (I do not get paid for my reviews)

Love this dispenser! Fits 25 pounds of rice perfectly even though it looks small. We placed it on a shelf in our pantry and when we need the dry food, we just press down the lever to dispense the food into the drawer. Easy and simple as well as saves space.

Really great value for a dispenser. My one and only whine is the not-quite-fluid motion of the slide to dispenser the measured rice into the handled bowl.There is a VERY slight catch as the latch responds to the spring turning the dispensing gears. I BELIEVE it's just an occasional grain of rice settled in the seam due to gravity. It's probably entirely normal; I just don't tremendous feeling it in my last dispenser. As of now, it does NOT inhibit use.Otherwise, the seals seem sufficient to block reasonable exposure to air and humidity to keep the rice fresh. For an inexpensive dispenser, I'm very pleased!

Bought this for my wife because I wanted to make her life easier, you know, happy wife... At first it just stood there at the kitchen's counter for a week. She did't want to try it for some reason and I told her we could give it away to someone who would appreciate it and that's when she decided to try it. In a few words: this thing is now her pride and joy and it is shown and boasted to every woman who walks through the front door of the house. It has really made her life a lot easier and those are her own words. I'm glad she likes it so much and that makes me a happy camper. :-)

This product looks cute, but its so small for the price.I gave it away and purchased a bigger one.

So easy to put together, and measuring is now so easy! Store rice or beans with ease and I love that I can see if I'm running low.

It looks like it would hold a bulk sized bag of rice, but it’s not very big. I don’t recommend this if you’re looking for a large rice storage. This could easily fit on a counter top
