Does what is suppossed to do but it has limitations-UPDATED
UPDATE (12/15/13)After utilizing the splitter for a few days, I noticed that it still has limitations but it works for my intended purpose (see original review below). Although now I can split the HDMI signal from my cable box to two different devices, the device(s) receiving the signal has to be powered on prior turning on the device with the source signal to prevent the splitter to confuse and not work correctly.Since now the splitter is working as intended but with some limitations, I'm upgrading the rating of this product to 4 stars. I think it deserves the 4 stars because is a decent splitter with an accessible price that works just fine as long you familiarize with it to work with its limitations.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ORIGINAL REVIEWI got this splitter to split the HDMI output from my cable box to both; my TV and to an Xbox One. The splitter actually splits the signal with good quality but only works as long as I have the TV and Xbox One on. The main reason to get the splitter is that I wanted to be able to use my cable box without having to turn on the Xbox One and also be able to watch cable TV through the Xbox one without having to connect/disconnect HDMI cables. At the end I ended with another device and the same issue I had before. This device will be perfect for those wanting to split an HDMI signal to two devices (TVs, monitors, etc.) that will be powered on simultaneously. If you are planning to have one of the TVs offf, then the splitter won't work.Although the splitter works I did have limitations and ended with a device that will be useless for me; therefore, I can't give more than 3 starts to this device. I was surprised that the splitter doesn't keep transmitting the signal unless both of the output devices are powered on. Hopefully, this review helps potential buyers in making their decision.

It works as advertised
I was greeted Monday (4/3/13) morning with the package and adapter cables. The HS120 had actually arrived the week before but i was off. Delivery was very fast (i think it was one day from order to delivery)My goal was to provide a signal to my projector and monitor from my DVI-D port on the docking station. I needed to be able to use my monitor (DVI-D connection) all the time and occasionally use my projector (HDMI).The only problem I have is when the screen shuts down it takes a while for the monitor to come back on. Sometimes i have to cycle the monitor before the screen finally gets turned on. I have not called support on this yet.

Works great, but not for my application...
Scenario... I have a new Sony 3D capable projector. I have a playstation with 3D capable output. I have a NON-3D capable receiver (older Pioneer Elite with 3 HDMI in and one out). I was hoping to avoid buying a new receiver to switch 3D HDMI signals by using this splitter to take the playstation 3D signal out, split it and send one HDMI to the projector and get 3D images there, and send the other output to the receiver and have it strip off the HD non-compressed audio (DTS Master Audio/Dolby HD). Unfortunately, this set up will not work. The HDMI 1.4 standard needs to have an end to end recognition that it is 3D capable at all points along the way. That means the Playstation checks in with the Projector and it likes it. But if the Playstation checks in and sees the receiver, it knows it won't handle 3D, splitter or not. So it removes the 3D capability and drops the signal to HDMI 1.3 (non-3D) for all outputs, including the projector. Nothing I tried would work. So although the splitter did exactly what it was designed to do, it could not overcome the functionality designed into the HDMI 1.4 handshake protocol/standard. It could not see the two destinations (receiver and projector) as separate destinations. Once it saw them, it determined that 3D could not be sent to either. It was worth a shot. But my real solutions are to either buy an new source (e.g. OPPO or Panasonic with dual scaling outputs that can feed 1.3 to the receiver and 1.4 to the projector) or buy a new 3D capable receiver that has more HDMI inputs/outputs. I am leaning toward the latter for better long term compatibility.Bottom line, this product did exactly what it was designed to do, for a great price. But it won't work for my application.

Doesn't work with Xbox One
Be forewarned if you are looking for an Xbox One multi-function bypass (a way to watch TV without powering on your box), as the Xbox One had trouble with the signal and displayed about five seconds of video before going dark, and then only choppy sound. Hopefully Microsoft is made aware of this issue and can fix it at some point, but I am fairly disappointed they didn't anticipate this issue before launch and at least offer a list of supported HDMI splitters. At least. Four stars since it is not the manufacturer's fault.

It works, but it can get confused
I'm not sure whether it's my setup or a general issue, but this switch works only if you are careful in the order you start up. I have my computer as the input, with a standard monitor as one output and my TV as the other output. When I start my computer, unless I have one or the other of the output devices (and not both) turned on, the switch gets confused. As long as I remember to turn on the monitor or TV before waking up my computer, it works just fine.

Good concept
I was looking to direct the image coming out of my cable box to two TVs, and this should have worked.However... the two HDMI output ports seemed loose, and resulted in a flickering picture.AND - IT DID NOT SUPPORT 1080P as advertised. I bet I got a bad box.Returned with no issue, purchased a different brand with hopes of better result. Thank you Amazon!

Splitter HDMI

Works great after a power supply hiccup.
I initially received it with the incorrect power supply, but the supplier sent a replacement, and it works great. Happy with it so far, and would recommend it.

An sich gutes Gerät mit angenehmer Optik und Haptik
Hat auch getan, was es sollte. Leider bei mir jedoch mit leichtem Surren / Brummgeräusch, weswegen ich den Splitter zurück gesendet hatte.
