Very nice and cool surf rod even better than some famous brand surf rod I bought ever before.The blank is slim but really a "MONSTER" when fighting with the big fish.With an excellent fast action and great power,i got many fish and enjoyed my fishing time so much . It is very exciting to get such a great surf rod on amazon.

Literally have bought 8 of these and taking up a country mile on the beach setting these things out. I am not a paid reviewer but I fish a lot and these rods really are fantastic. Definitely check them out before everyone else gets on the wagon. Caught everything from pomp to black tips on these babys with an 8000 penn pair.Great surf rod. For the money I really don't know how you can beat them. These things are still just as good as the day I bought them and still crushing these florabama 🐟 🐠 🎏 🎣 🐡

Just got it and love it already! I asked my wife to let me sleep with it in our bed, she said no, now im sleeping on the couch with it. Came packaged pertty nicely(would recommend daiwa's packaging style, triangle box) no damage though. Delivered with a rubber protector for the first eye closet to the reel seat. Also came in a little bag. Looks like its a perfect set up for braided line. The eyes have a caster type circle. Feels sturdy and tip feels sensitive. Great value for the price. Cant wait to go out cast my fishing buddies with this monster surf rod.

This is a real review, not sure about the others... just got the rod, quality is phenomenal, have yet to use it but I will update when I do. I paired this with a Penn 6000 battle 2, The rod is light as a feather. Can’t wait to use it in the LBI surf!*edit* Used it today on a test run on the Susquehanna River, I cast a 3 ounce weight 75 yards, just dry casting to see how well it works, the only thing I can say is the Penn reel is a little bit heavy and tiresome for lure casting, I will be buying another Berrypro and pairing it with a Pflueger president 4000 for the lure casting.

My rod arrived like other reviews just thrown in a box with some crumpled up paper. Not sure if I should fault the rod a star on this review but I will as the fabrics case holding the rod was also torn at one edge. The rod itself thankfully was not damaged and looks very well built. Will be putting it to use in a couple weeks and will update the review.

Read reviews on damage during shipping, looks like they have a solution in place. Had a plastic eye cover on 1st eye from the handle, plastic wrap on the next 2 eyes on 2nd piece of the rod. This really is a nicely made rod. Very nice feel on the handle, well wrapped eyelets, and overall all a great "bang for your buck" deal. I fit it with the KastKing/Sharky Baitunner lll/6000 series reel, a very balanced marriage of rod-n-reel. Super satisfied with the purchase Getting ready for the "doormat" flounder run at Sebastian Inlet, as well as some night fishing at Jetty Park pier for some big Reds n Liners. Great to know this is also perfect for some surf fun on the beach. I'm 59 and this should be my last 10 footer. I did good! Got for it, if you are wondering about quality vs price. It will be a pleasant surprise. Will update in a few weeks.

Rod is sensitive and strong enough I just use it to catch blue fish yesterday . Well made fishing rod and great price.

Ordered all sizes of these surf rods to try out for a week in the Florida gulf area. I wad sceptical at the beginning when they arrived since I've found the tip being way to stiff for my preference. So I arrive at the beach, set up my 2-3 hooks pompano rigs with 20, 25 and 30 lb braid line and 2 and 3 oz weights - ready to cast and oh man! I was: OMG! I was casting 100+ yards from the shore with ease, not even getting my feet wet. I've always preferred Penn rods, which I also had with me, the 9 ft Squadron, 10 ft Fierce and 12 ft Prevail. These Berrypro rods outperformed all 3 Penn rods to my disbelief. I've caught pompanos, hardtail, blues and other species with them. As far as spinning reels, I paired them with Penn Spinfisher VI 4500 live liner, Penn Clash 4000, Penn Fierce III 5000, Penn Pursuit III 6000 and Penn Fierce III 6000 live liner which were a little overkill for these thin rods. I believe that, in my opinion and surf fishing experience, the big difference between these Berrypro rods and Penn, is because they have small eyelets and concetrate the braid line through a small diameter as far as casting distance when the Penn rods have big eyelets and that's where they lose casting distance. The rods feel very solid and well made, really light weight and I wish the reel handles were a little thicker for when/where you hold it but that wasn't a problem. I can't tell how long they'll last since I've only used them for a week, but heck yeah buddy, I'll order more of these rods!
