This Zebco 101 real has performed well for me for more than a year. It’s easy to use and relatively tangle free. I have several other rod and reels in my arsenal but find myself often reaching for this one because it’s lightweight and shorter, easier to carry than the others.

This was a Christmas gift for my 7 year-old grandson, a step up from his shorter, one-piece Zebco combo. Everything performs as it should. I will update the review after we actually go fishing.

The reel is just like the “Dock Demon” except the material appears to be of a higher quality. The reel is NOT a smaller 202, it’s a different design, harder to disassemble for maintenance (which can be done). The drag is rough, the casting is good, and the retrieval is good. It’s not a lifetime reel. It could last several years or just a few trips, it depends on how it’s treated and maintained. It is exactly what you should expect for the price and the description. Zebco has made the rod and reel a good buy if you manage your expectations. You can’t expect a Cadillac for the price Honda Fit. The Fit is a great car, just don’t expect more than it is.

Perfect for kids, durable would recommend to put new 6lb line on, new line equals less tangles

Great starter pole for kids and also great for throwing out on the lake for an adults too. Found myself using this pole to cast under brush with ease

First time I used it the end came off and was lost in the water. Now I'm sitting here with only half a pole!!!

This item is a Zebco-101, 2-piece rod and reel combo. Only 1 piece of the rod came with the order. You can't use that.
