originally, I bought this raincoat based on price for my granddaughter to use as a paint smock at her Pre-K school, because she was ruining all her clothes while painting. When it arrived I was impressed with the quality of this raincoat, and it looked absolutely adorable on her. The sleeves were a little long, but they have elastic at the cuff that easily and comfortably holds them in place. I was so pleased with this raincoat that I ordered her a second one to use as a raincoat (imagine that). My grandaughter is about a month away from being 5 years old. With the quality and sizing of this raincoat, I feel she will get at least a couple of years use out of it (and she's a pretty rough and tumble kid). I think this coat will probably fit the 4 to 7, maybe 8 year old group the best. I think it will be too small for children much older than about 8.

I bought this is December. We live in Hawaii where it's warm year round and rains a lot. It's handy to have a light coat I can take with me anywhere and this fit the bill, plus it's adorable. I got this one for my two year old and the frog for my four year old even though I knew they'd run a little big - they still have been working perfect. I don't put them in the wash, I wipe them down.The kids are adorable and get lots of compliments, but the last week or so, the elastic in the sleeves have been worn out on the duck. Likely my two year old pulls too hard when tugging it off - but this jacket is used on a weekly basis, so it's held up pretty well overall. If he were taller and it fit his arms better the elastic wouldn't be such an issue, but because his arms are so short he relies on it to keep the sleeves from dragging.Otherwise, I feel it's been worth it. The kids love wearing them and will beg to wear their "duckie coat" or their "Froggie coat".

Nylon like fabric with cheap buttons. Extremely light weight. Windbreaker like but lighter. At least it's cute.

I got these (the frog) for my 3-year-old grandson and (the duck for) his almost 5-year old cousin from Beijing. They are cute enough and sturdy enough for them to use the raincoats as costumes to play indoors, and will make good use of them in our warm, tropical rains. The coats are lightweight, well-made, adorable, come with little bags to hold them in, and will be very useful and well worth the price. I'm so glad I found these raincoats!

I know other reviews mentioned that the material was pretty thin, but I guess for the price I thought it was be a bit better. This is just *barely* one step above the disposable rain ponchos that you can get at a dollar store. If the rain you're protecting against is at all in cool weather, this wouldn't do anything for warmth. I'm returning it. I'd rather pay for more a real raincoat.

Bought a duck and a frog one for my grandchildren who are 5 & 6 yr old boys.They have plenty of room to grow & I don't have to fold up the sleeves since they have elastic around the them. The raincoat is very light material so in summer time its perfect. Even though I haven't been able to test in the rain to much I poured water on the coats to see if they leak at all. The water slides right off!! The only way it went through the fabric is if I held the water in one place and squeezed it. I did try it on my 3 yr grandson who is very short and was to big for him but the size does state for ages 5-12.(But then in the description it states 4-10) I am thinking about buying a couple more for back ups. For the price I would recommend this product.

Expected it to fit on my three year old triplets but was wrong. I do not plan on keeping this until they are six years old so they can grow into it. Cheap material. Extremely disappointed. Will not order from this company again.

I was looking for something that we could keep in the car for our 3 and 5-year-old girls for rainy days (haha) that wouldn't be too warm, expensive, and/or easily outgrown. We ended up getting the frog and duck and while they are (expectedly) a bit big they work. The kids have received compliments on how cute they are and they don't mind wearing them in the heat. The material is thin so it's not anything fancy, does come with a little pouch, I could probably wear it in a pinch since it's a pretty good size.
