SolaMr 60A Solar Charge Controller 12V/24V Solar Panel Battery Charge Regulator with LCD Display and Dual USB Port - 60A

Bought this product in 2019 but never used it as I was delayed with my project, hooked it up properly this week and the lcd display stops working after 2 days. UPDATE The solar controller will not work in series with 2 100w 12v panels, it seems this is the issue, so I will have to run panels in parallel which works fine

I bought a couple of these Solar Charge controllers and use them both for slightly different things.One I use on my Solar array of 100w 12v panels wired in series Parallel to 24v. This Charges my bank of Lead Acid Batteries (also wired to 24v) connected to a 24v PSW Inverter which I use for powering my Workshop tools.The other I use attached to a small Monocrystalline panel, a 12v Battery and a small 12v PSW inverter which I keep as backup power for electronic gadgets as we get Power outages from time to time.They work really well although one addition would be either OLED of a backlight feature.

Worked really well and was easy to set up. Simple in operation and easy to understand with a clear view of what's going on.

The description describes this as a MPPT controller - Text from listing as follows:-"Automatic focusing MPPT tracking charging, high charging efficiency, non-stop detection during charging, bidirectional focusing tracking."This is a PWM controller - there is NO MPPT Functionality. ( Maximum Power Point Tracking)Treat as budget unit only

Get what you pay for. Lovely piece of kit for the money

As a basic charge controller, it looks and works well. However, regardless of panel output, input voltage was pulled to a little over the battery voltage... so its not working as MPPT device. Was cheap.. so that was to be expected I guess.

I have been using this on my shed for a few months now it charges my 12v battery fine. I charge my 12v torches from it as well as other accessories.The only thing is that it pulses the combined light if you switch it on during the day when it's charging which is a bit annoying as my shed has no windows.Otherwise free electricity for my shed!

the display does not work

Erst in der Mail, die mit der Lieferungsankündigung kam, las ich, daß dieser Regler nicht für Lithiumspeicher vorgesehen ist. Wahrscheinlich habe ich mir die Beschreibung, bei der Bestellung, nicht richtig durchgelesen. Das ist mein Fehler.Die Rücksendung und alles was dazu gehört, verlief völlig problemlos und schnell.Danke dafür. Günther Andersen

C'est le quatrième que je possède sur plusieurs années. Le fonctionnement est parfait, la charge se fait comme avec un alternateur, aux mêmes limites. J'ai pu comparer entre les différents régulateurs que la précision d'affichage est de 0,1 volt, ce qui est négligeable. Je pense qu'entre chaques marques de ce modèle mais à des présentations, couleurs et prix différents la carte du circuit imprimé est similaire, fabriquée en Asie. Je n'hésiterais pas à en commander d'autres.
