Q: Can you coil this and it won't get permanent twists/crimps?

Yes. This is really better cord than you usual orange cord I used to buy. As with all cord if it is twisted (to coil it) then it kind of stays in a coiled position but once you stretch it out it unwinds. Nothing permanent occurs. I have had much less problem with this cord tangling as well. It is just a little better quality.

Q: Is this osha approved for outdoor use?

Believe it or not, OSHA doesn’t certify or approve any products, procedures, or techniques for ANYTHING. They simply set minimum guidelines in which equipment, products, procedures, and risk management techniques must adhere to. Check this link below for more information on what is required by OSHA for extension cords... https://www.osha.gov/laws-regs/standardinterpretations/1991-06-12-1 Looks like as long as it’s tested and approved by a nationally recognized testing laboratory (Like UL) then it meets OSHA’s minimum guidelines.

Q: UL Listed? What is the file no?

A.K. To answer your question, I purchased this extension cord 3–4 years ago and have since ripped off all the tags. However with my basic knowledge of electricity, I would not have purchased this cord if it was not UL listed. Hope this helps.

its 16 (16awg). At 50 feet length, its probably Ok for very low draw uses (LED christmas lights. modest stereo, box fan), but it is not heavy enough for higher draw uses (blowers, saws, etc.). IIRC, max draw for a 16 awg cord is 10 amps, but it will heat up quite a bit if you overload it. 14awg is about 15 amps, and 12awg is 20 amps (all at 50 feet). Because amazon lumps lots of Q&A together for multiple lengths, note that 16awg drops to about 7amp load at 75 feet length. that will handle about 770 watts. (watts are calculated by multiplying amps times volts - 110 volts, in this case).
