4 Classic Albums, Volume 2 - Elvis Presley

I was delighted with the first vol of "8 Classic Albums Plus Bonus Singles"even with two songs skipped it contains 42 of Elvis' first 44 hits and tons of good album tracks.Well now ~ merely to say this set compliments vol one is an understatement!This set picks up those 2 songs and also contains the rest of the charted singlesto the 61st and last song of 1962.But Oh ~ I was even more pleased to find the rest of the EP's are here also,plus all of the 10 songs (A & B of 5 singles) from 1954 & 55 that were priorthe establishment of a pop chart (1955) better known as "The Sun Singles".Sooo ~ With vol 1 & 2 there's every charted single, and EP to the end of 1962 with-in these sets.The four albums are ~1. Grew up with Elvis. Got to see and hear him before he became famous - At the Louisiana Hay Ride in Shreveport La. Starting a collection of his songs - finding out there are a lot of them that I don't remember ever hearing before.

Following on from the Epic 'Elvis Presley 8 Classic Albums Plus Bonus Singles' - This 'Vol.2 Four Classic Albums Plus EPs And Singles' is also digitally remastered and enhanced for superior quality.I bought this 4 cd collection for 'Something for Everybody' and 'Pot Luck' as i already have the other songs. I am once again very happy with the sound and the price. 'Real Gone Records' could not have done a better job delivering a Crisp clear sound.A nice surprise was the fact that 'King of the whole wide world' was the full 2.41 (instrumental play out at end of song) instead of the 2.02 usual version. I also love the fact that the EPs are all on one disc - These include tracks from films which had less than the standard 12 Presley songs on their Albums - namely 'Flaming Star', 'Follow that Dream', Kid Galahad', 'Love me Tender' and 'Jailhouse Rock'.The material on this set may not be as 'strong' or contain as many 'hits' as vol.1, but once again each album has it's own unique feel, and for me the only weakness is the 'Girls Girls Girls' soundtrack. There are enough hidden gems like 'Put the Blame on me' and 'Night Rider' to make this collection continuously playable.Footnote about the release date of this item:Man, i had to wait an age for this release! Ordered this on the 23rd feb well before the 4th march release date....that release date changed to the 8th of march....that changed to the 17th march....then 24th march...i was begining to think there must be something wrong with the product. To Amazon's credit i received this item on the actually final release day 8th April. Worth the wait but order when items in stock next time.

A starter pack for a prospective fan - good value, but the sleeve is a bit drab for such a colourful character. Appears to be a scrapyard for old carsshowing a dodgy dealer rather than the intended. Don't be put off by this, the tracks although steam at the time are made of gold.

I already have three of these albums on vinyl so to get all these on cd for only £5 is a real bargain. It was worth it alone for Blue Hawaii And Pot Luck and the Brilliant Something for Everyone plus you get loada of A Sides & B Sides real bargain for any Elvis fan
