Perfect for sampling different salts and peppercorns!
The media could not be loaded. These are very small but exactly what we wanted, as we received a gift box with multiple high end salts and peppercorns. We needed something that holds a small amount so we can switch to a different flavor easily. For the size, these grind exceptionally well if you are looking for a medium grind. This would be a great gift to accompany some higher quality salts and peppercorns. We use them on steaks and it definitely elevates the flavor!

Good Grinders, but can be hard to operate / fill
I purchased these to keep in my desk at work to use for my lunch. To fill them, you have to pull up on the top to open and then put the top back on once you've filled the grinder. The reason I did not give this item 5 stars, is that I feel that there could be issues with removing the top and replacing to fill (the bar that turns the grinder and attaches to the top feels a little flimsy and over time, there could be issues.. the bar appears to be made of plastic). Also, a big reason is that these are so small (short) that it is hard to hold and grind. I am a 5'1" tall woman who has very small hands and even I had a hard time holding the lower portion of the grinder and twisting the top at the same time.Be warned that if you have larger hands, or have arthritis or another condition that would make manipulating this grinder a challenge, I'd go with another product. If the grinder was even 1" taller, it would be easier to use.Other than those issues, this set seems to work ok for my needs and is easy to store in my desk at work.

Good little devices but has some flaws
I got these for when my family goes to amusement parks. We prefer fresh ground salt and pepper over the preground and old stuff you get at the store.First off, these contain no instructions for how to open the containers, adjust the grind or even to grind itself. After a minute of examination I figured out how to open them. To say their reservoir is small is an understatement. If you use spices a lot you may find yourself filling them frequently. The grind adjustment on the bottom is pretty much useless. I found no difference in the grind no matter how it was adjusted.Actually using the grinders is tricky. If you have big hands don't even try. Holding the metal rings in opposite hands and getting them to spin can be quite difficult.Lastly, there is no cap protecting the grinder end. This means that whatever bag or box you put these in will soon be filled with debris from both grinders. This can make one heck of a mess that can be hard to clean depending on the design and material of your particular bag. These are basically very cheaply made out of plastic and I don't expect them to last very long.

It worth the effort of owning them
Well these work as advertised and are small and great for travel, however the smal slick top you are supposed to turn is almost impossible to turn once you add pepper and especially sea salt. Grip strath requirements make these impossible for my wife or any children. I can grind with them but at 6’4” and over 250 pounds I could grind sea salt with two quarters. A simple fix would have been some texture that would allow easier grip. Overall tgeir just too hard to turn unless you add textured tape or something. I plan on adding some gripping velcro tape to allow them a better chance at using these tiny spice grinders.Okay update - finally put these in the trash bin where they belong they are so hard to soin and grind salt it just isn’t worth the effort of carrying them. The last straw was seeing that my wife had filled them with pre ground salt and pepper and they were still impossible to turn . Just not worth the effort

Great tiny grinders!
First of all, getting the lid off is kind of hard but I found if it doesn't come off easily just give it like a quarter turn and keep repeating until it easily pops off. Try pulling at a slight angle as well. Filling is hard but they are tiny shakers so either use a funnel or do it over the sink to avoid spillage on your counters and/or floors. In my case I filled it with some spicy salt blends but notice because some of the granules are very tiny, while some are larger, that they very tiny granules kind of just fall through if I shake it around. A minor issue for me, but FYI.

Hard to use, no capacity, cheap = broke
Review update: Altho earlier I said nice things, with the caution that this was too small for most hands or applications, it got worse. 1) Because of the much smaller diameter, the physics of rotating a tiny post made it actually a tough job, not for weak hands. 2) And then a mere few weeks of use (~ once per day maybe), the central post mount (plastic) snapped. It is now unusable and worthless. No storage capacity of significance, very hard to grip or to turn, and too cheap to hold up to mild use. Don't botherOn the plus side, these seem to be well-made, classy, cute and the pepper grind is excellent! (at a standard "fine" setting. I haven't tried more coarse or finer). HOWEVER... these are so tiny that it is actually difficult to get a proper grip on them (I have medium-large hands but articulate). There's only position that works for me and it's kinda awkward. Not easy if your hands are wet or slippery. Plus the amount of pepper corns it can hold is only enough to get me thru a culinary weekend. So, understand; they're good but specialized for tiny applications of limited duration.
