I was apprehensive about reading the book solely because I knew it would speak to me. Not only did the book help me, it gave me hope. Thank you, Shaheen. This book was like a Sherpa leading me out of the rabbit hole of my mind, and learning to make my own space in the sun.

I enjoyed reading every bit of it. It’s raw and every emotion is beautifully expressed. I like how writer bravely shared her private stories. Anyone who is going through tough times or in fact know someone who is struggling with it should read it. Best book I have read on depression.

This is a brilliant and intense book on depression. The author is very brave, the great detail in which she writes about her own depression. The book is not only personal but comprehensive. Parts of the book are painful to read, but the overall effect of the book is hopeful. It is also beautifully written.

Excellent read. Gives you a brief yet profound understanding into depression. Shaheen sheds a much needed light on this topic and helps to de-stigmatize it.

Boring, redundant and nothing we dont already know about chronic depression. Dont recommend it.

I could identify with every emotion described by the author and even learned more info about depression from this book.I highly recommend this book for everyone suffering from depression or who want a better understanding of depression.

Explains in extreme detail what depressed person goes through and she ends with saying how that person can take help. If your friend, family or partner is going through depression please make them read it and you read it too.
