perfect gift
It was a Christmas present for my nephew and he's absolutely thrilled with it. It's of good quality and works perfectly; it was educational and very special for him.

Great kit for eight-year old!
My son got this for his birthday and I was a little skeptical because it was not a Lego kit and it involved a few extra components around engineering. He loves it and was engaged, putting it together for a long time.

Run fine however it has a short battery life and long recharge time.

Great you for a young boy. Prompt shipping grandson is 6 and needed help from dad to put it together. I would say 8-9-10 yr old

Disappointed 10 year old
First order had a broken remote-ones of the wires inside was not attached. Amazon replaced it quickly. My 10 year old son tested the remote and drive motor first thing. After playing with it though he noticed there were often glitches where the car would stop responding while driving for brief times during play. He's pretty frustrated with it and is so sad after he saved up his money to buy this. He definitely feels like it's overpriced for the quality he has experienced.

Looks cool
I gave this as a Christmas gift to a six year old boy and he was excited to assemble it and play. I don't know how it was when he opened it, because I haven't been able to ask him. It does take both AA and AAA batteries.
