Perfect lightweight day pack!
After receiving the first pack that I purchased as a gift, I was so impressed that I bought three more. This is the perfect lightweight day pack. The whole family used these during a hectic 8 day Disney vacation. We put them through the paces, and here are the results:The size of the bag is perfect for a sweater or hoodie, snacks, glasses, other personal items, etc. you don't want a bunch of extra weight when running around all day, and the wonderful lightweight construction really added to our enjoyment of our trip. I had planned on using the mesh side pockets to bring water bottles into the park to mitigate the high costs of drinks throughout the day. While the pockets held the small water bottles well; I was a bit disappointed after day one, because every time the pack was laid down flat, the bottles would fall out (even with the compression straps around the bottles). This was all solved by my brilliant better half. She extended the straps to their loosest position and wrapped them around the neck of the bottles. This was a revelation,... We all did this. For the rest of the trip. The bottles were very secure,... And not going anywhere. Toward the end of the trip, my son and I would start the day with two bottles in the mesh pockets, and three extra in the main cargo compartment. Even with all that water and snacks, hand wipes, sun glasses, etc...... The pack was comfortable, and the weight unnoticeable! No issues with straps cutting into shoulders, or any such issues. The sternum strap (one of the main features that I was looking for) is well constructed and adjustable not just in the strap length, but also in their vertical orientation. The connection of the strap is done by encircling each shoulder strap, so there is no chance of it failing like some other similar packs. The strap also includes a sewn-in double elastic band that is a really nice touch. It keeps the strap snug throughout your journey without feeling too tight. The helmet net seemed a bit of an oddity to non cyclists,... But we found that it held a youth soccer ball well on a trip to the youngster's weekend games, and it was also good as holding a wet poncho (once the skies cleared) that you don't want to fold and put back in your pack. The waist belt was nicely implemented, but we rarely used them. If we were climbing, I could see where they would be very useful! It also included elastic guides on each side which could control excess strapping while shortened. (Mine was mainly linked together and shortened. It stayed behind me, and I never knew it was there)The stitching throughout the four packs that we had all looked good, and held up well. While the top handle strap looks a bit small; we used them all the time to grab our packs, and they all stood the test. They appear to have at least five rows of stitching at the connection points. While not considered a "packable" backpack,.... These are very light and while empty and laid flat in the trunk; they took up almost no room at all! (A big positive in my eyes)The packs all survived the trip well, with the only minor issues being the detachment of two of the zipper pull covers. In both cases; the plastic covers for the zipper pulls came off, but the cord that makes up the pull remained in tact with the ends still glued together. I plan on just replacing them with paracord,.... But it is important to know that it is an issue. The zippers themselves all worked withouth issue, even with additional strain on the main zipper compartment when over filling the pack or over tightening the compression strap on that side (ideally; a compression strap should be on the other side of the zipper,... But I liked not having to undo it to get into the main compartment freely - especially since we were utilizing the strap for the described bottle retention technique).I must say, it is one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon,... Well worth the price!

Great for hiking or cycling, highly recommend!
I needed a lightweight backpack for hiking, Tecool has really came up with a cool design. It's bright blue color is great for the outdoors because it's easy to spot. Many breathable features such as the padded straps, back of the bag and mesh bottle pockets on the side.I did test it out on a long hike and my back did not feel muggy at all.The straps are padded and very comfortable around the shoulders. There are two straps, for the chest and waist, so your bag is more secure while hiking or cycling. There is 2 front pockets and the main side pockets which held lunch for 4 people. Two breathable side pockets for water bottles.I also carried first aid kit, bug spray, cell phones and wallet and still had room for little things. The pocket on the very bottom opens up to a net that holds your helmet. You can hook the net on the top two hooks. Great feature for cyclists.I love this back pack, great value and would highly recommend. Thanks Tecool.

nice but small
The bag is sturdy and well made. It is too small for my needs. Can't even hold a bath towel in it. I wanted to take it to the beach. I had hoped it would hold a towel and a snack. I guess it might be the right size for other intended purposes.

Zipper got stuck the first time we used it.

Love it
This is perfect for my needs. I've been using it to run 8 miles to work twice a week for the last 15 months. It's small, but fits a change of clothes (no shoes), a small lunch, and I can squeeze in a lightweight jacket or a small umbrella if I need to. Side pockets are great for water bottles -I use 2x12 oz Fitletics, but you could probably still fit bigger ones. Major con is that the bag is not waterproof from either side, so I've taken to always wrapping my clothes in plastic bags before packing them, because I sweat a lot.

Nice looking backpack
Nice looking backpack. but the zipper on the very front pocket was broken upon arrival so I really didn't get a chance to try it out as I returned it the next day.

Great day pack!
Perfect size and light weight for a day pack while traveling around Italy. Empty, it is quite flat and I packed it in the outter section of my luggage. Once in Italy, it held my camera, lightweight foldable jacket, umbrella, and a bottle of water. Perfect for what I needed.

Brilliant. This is the second one I have purchased
Brilliant. This is the second one I have purchased. Myself and my kids age 13 & 10 use them on the plane and when skiing. They are well made and the zips are good. There is a concealed zip pocket that contains a mesh net that stretches up and clips in to the top of the rucksack which is great for holding an extra jumper etc. The top pocket is big enough for a small purse and a phone. There are top chest clips and a waist clip if you want but I find it fits so neatly that it doesn’t bounce about while skiing. It’s still plenty big enough to squeeze some shopping in on the way back from the slopes. An A4 pad fits into the main pocket.
