I'm surprised this order was received in one piece. The box of folders was not "packaged" and the top of the box was loose (not taped to the bottom). Upon delivery and when I picked it up, the top came off. I am sure the box was put back together many times during it's trip to my office - flimsy packaging. I'm not happy. Fortunately, the innerds are in tact and the folders are fairly flimsly but will suffice for our needs. If you're looking for heavy sturdy legal-sized expandable pocket folders, do not buy these.

These are really lightweight cardstock.. much lighter than a standard file folder. If you intend to use these frequently, taking them in and out of a cabinet or to retrieve documents from the folder - you might want to consider buying ones that are more sturdy/durable. I needed something to store my taxes in, so that each year can hold the tax forms, and all the backup documents that we used to calculate the totals. This will do for us, but only you know how often you tend to access your taxes from previous years.

I like these to keep important papers in, as they are thick and secure to keep all paperwork neat and in order

The slim 2” thickness was just what I’ve been looking for. I compact my files to the minimum as much as possible to save space and most of these types of expanding envelopes are overkill thick. Perfect for the short trips to the tax shop, stopovers at the library, and routine commutes to the office. I even compressed my entire estate planning portfolio enough to fit with other folder full files in my portable file case. Hope they keep making them. Got manuscript projects lined up that will need them.
